"Frick. "

There I stood, shivering and weak, in the middle of the street I dreaded the most being in. The winds brushed by my skin from behind, forcing my attention forward to the statues.

The adrenaline that was once coursing through my veins had left me and with my savior being gone too, I just felt drained and helpless.

'Heh... I didn't even get that guy's name... I guess I owe him something... '

I stood rather lonesomely in this large streetway. Winds started to roar at me, incentivizing my feet to move forward.

At this point, I've been clutching onto my shoulders and my back has been tense as all heck. My legs seemed to be glued to the tiled pathway, and I could feel my head pound incredibly hard.

'Ugh...'

I brought my hand up to my head, as the pain increased. In my other hand, I clutched onto the handkerchief tightly, to the point my nails were digging into my skin.

"I should get b-back home... no point staying..."

I walked extremely cautiously to the stairs that were luckily placed before the statues.

The winds howled behind me harshly, as if it was pushing me.

As I reached the edge of the staircase, I heard a faint call breezing through the winds: "I wish..."

I whipped my head around.

No one was around me, "What was that...?"

"Please... save her... for us."

Another voice called out, and my paranoia reached new heights.

I stood my ground for a few more moments, staring bug-eyed at my surroundings and shoving the handkerchief into my pocket. Only the callings of the night winds were the sounds I heard, and it seemed whoever spoke into my ears disappeared.

"Who were they...?"

I recalled the voices' tone; it carried a sense of solemness and disparity, yet it was said in a gentle and caring manner. It seemed they were pleading to something... but to what exactly?

I subconsciously brought my hand to my chest right where my heart was, ignoring the necklace that was dangling above it. A weird feeling was felt in my heart, but it wasn't like what I felt from the necklace... It felt something akin to a heartwarming nostalgia.

Touching my heart, I instantly felt a little warmer and I wasn't as affected by the chilly air as I once was.

"Weird... but I can't help like I heard those voices and knew the people behind it..."

I stare longingly at the night sky, "Could it be from someone I knew before?"

For a brief second I could've sworn I saw a shooting star flash by. It twinkled out as soon as it just appeared.

"I wonder..."

I continued to gaze at the starry night sky, it seemed this was the first time for the night I got to look up at the sky. The wind was now gentle and swept my hair ever so as if brushing and caressing my (h/c) locks.

Sadly, I couldn't stay in that position as I heard rustling somewhere nearby.

My eyes widened and chills went down my spine. I hunched over in a tense manner and slowly stepped down the stairs, holding onto the railing tightly.
