Stationed outside of the cave we had just left from, Grim gulped in nervousness. I was almost about to tease the poor guy, but I lost much of my energy from trying to get the three idiots to understand my plan.

"H-hey, (y/n)... You s-sure this idea of yours will w-work?" the feline looked up at me, working up a sweat.

I walked ahead of the cat and shrugged in response. I heard a yelp behind me before I could hear the little paws of Grim's skitter to catch up with me.

We went further back into the tunnels, keeping notes of the way back. As we were about to turn a corner, I could feel Grim's paw clinging onto my pants to grab my attention.

"Wha-" "Shush." I was about to retort but I looked at the cave tunnel that Grim was eyeing intensely. And once more, the tingling sensation around my neck started back up again and I instantly caught onto what was going on.

"Hey, beasty! O-o-o-over here!" Grim called out. Grim and I's body tensed up, feeling the air cooling down as we anticipated for the worst.

"Grrrrr.... LeaAAAAAAAVVEE!!!"

The monster from before came charging at us, alarming my companion and me.

"Gah! It's coming!" Grim pounced away on his paws with me tailing him. "Over here, beasty!" I yelled as I joined in the holler.

"Grr!? There... thief... too. Won't give... Mine... Mine!!"

As we dashed to the exit, the monster slammed his arm against the tunnel walls, creating cracks underneath his hand.

"Pyah! That punch looks like a knockout if it lands!" Grim commented and I couldn't agree more. I turned to my feline friend and ordered, "Get it as far from the tunnel as possible." With no hesitation, the cat smirked in response, "On it chief!"

"Go away! Go away!!"

Grim and I sprinted to the entrance, trying our very best not to get crushed under the weighty punches of the monster. There were a few close calls, but we still managed. Soon enough, we were out in the open, and Grim noted, "It's pretty far from the tunnel now!"

And with that, I yelled to the trees, "NOW!"

As soon as I signaled a go to the boys, Ace leaped from a nearby tree with his wand in hand, "Ok, I got this! Let's go, Extra Large Tempest!" He slashed his wand across the air in front of him, creating a whirlwind aimed at the monster.

"And the Great Grim's Fire Special! Ffgnaaaaaa!" The grey fur-ball charged up and spat out a fury of flames at the base of the enemy.

The faceless monster wailed in confusion and, hopefully for us, in pain. Speaking of pain, the necklace kept scorching my skin, but at the moment I didn't have the mind to pay attention to it.

The flurry of attacks continued from the duo to the point where the two spells welded together to form a fire tornado. A bright display of blue flames danced around in a rapid pirouette of destruction.

"How's this! I can even fan Grim's shoddy flame into an inferno!" Ace proclaimed proudly, causing the feline next to me to sharpen his claws, "It's not shoddy! Ugh, every word out of your mouth pisses me off!"

I didn't pay more attention to their bickering and sought an opportunity for Deuce to swoop in. The monster didn't seem to be immediately affected by the flame tornado but as he trudged through the ferocious winds, he slowed down enough for me to roar out, "Now's our chance!"
