1ST POV

He left all so suddenly, leaving me little room to register what had just happened. I stood there with my hand still up in the position as when he took and kissed it. I was red all over my face, I wouldn't be surprised if my nose would start to bleed again because of that.

I finally racked myself to be back at the moment again and I stretched my back while yawning in the process, "What a long night!"

I turned to start heading up to Ramshackle proper, "This girl needs some sleep..."

As I went up the stairs leading to my dorm, I placed my finger on my nostrils, the blood being completely dry at this point. Taking this time to reflect, I tried to look back on what happened but I soon scratched the idea. It was much harder to think about it than I thought. I just held out a fist before releasing it and calming myself down.

Next, I went to check up on the visible bruises on my body. Seemed like it didn't heal like my burns before. Weird...

I gazed down at the necklace and rolled it around my fingers, entranced by the small pool of ink that managed to get inside the sealed vial pendant. A morbid curiosity of mine appeared: Could I open the seal?

The answer to that was a big fat no.

I tried my best to twist and pop the lid off but to no avail. It was sealed shut.

Then another question popped into my mind; could I just simply take this necklace off?

And so, tired from all reason, I went to grab the chain and was about to lift it when in the distance I saw a tall dark figure skirting near the greenery of Ramshackle. 'Not another one!'

I instantly let go of the chain to crouch behind the tall blades of grass of the unkempt gardens of the dorm. I peered my head over the grass to spy on this mysterious new figure.

Though there was quite a bit of a distance between us, I could tell that whoever this was was extremely tall.

His posture was well kept, I have to admit, and... 'Is he grabbing some plants?'

I was still too far to see what he was picking off the ground but I wasn't in the position to challenge this mysterious tall stranger to a fight. I gazed at my surroundings and gauged the optimal route to bypass this man.

'Time for Operation: Roll, Crouch, and Run!'

And so, I entered stealth mode and went crouching around the desired path. I went off the track to minimize the chances of him seeing me, and so I became one with the grass! Weaving and bobbing through the leaves I was nearing the entrance porch when suddenly I heard a rustling sound beside me.

I instantly froze.

Was my mission a flop? Should I abort!

I kept still, my body shaking as it was expecting for someone to grab onto me or call me out or something along those lines.

After what seemed to last like a minute, nothing came from that. I was relieved, I supposed, but now I was riddled with curiosity. 'Then what was that anyway?'

I took a turn to my side only to see the mysterious figure crouched over, their back facing me, merely a few inches from me. I nearly had a heart attack!

The figure was definitely bigger than me, now that I could see them up close. I couldn't make out any other details with their being any strong light source nearby. I just know I shouldn't be in contact with them.
