Chapter 15

Lexi

Karas body was weak as Lexi carried her out of her prison.Without Lexi next to her Kara would have literally collapsed.This woman was confused and scared,she lost her hope in the dark,she lost herself.Lexi suddenly felt really bad,the feeling that was rising inside her was guilt,and self hate.She did that ,she tortured her.She also killed a child so not really suprising.

Blue eyes looked around,as if she searched a special pair of eyes and then they met Lexis.It was not the pair of eyes that Kara searched for but it seemed familiar enough. Lexi,gently touched her cheeck."Hey,hey i can call you Kara,right?Kara sweetie,everything is ok now.I wont sent you back in there if you are able to be a good girl.You will be a good girl,right?"

Lexis eyes were still yellow,but a tiny green shining flashed through her eyes.

Kara was like a puppy,completely naive.Her mind was new born,easy to manipulate because it was broken.Zor El died in this room,and left was Kara Danvers,a really kind and clueless  good soul.She was ready for the liquid now.Ready to rise as a phoenix out of the ashes.Become a member of the Reign.Well at least that is what Lexi should have thought like that...

But this stupid voice in Lexis head was annoying her all the day.It brought up questions that she never wanted:

If they are about to change Zor El,change her whole mind and personality,and if the liquid was needed to hold her mind tied,why is Lexi taking the same stuff then?

If she always were part of the Reign, if they are and always were the good guys,why is it needed to manipulate people to be on their side?

Why would anyone attack National City if they were hidden and never planned to fight against the Reign?

Why was it fun killing a child for her,when every part of her also screamed how wrong it is?

What Zor El said before the torture...If they did the same to her,how should she remeber if they did?What if  she and Zor El  went through the same fate.What if they always were on the same side,til Lexi came to the Reign?

Why would her sister kill their parents,and who else proved this statement instead of a member of Reign?What if she exactly had been as Zor El is now?

What if...

This questions haunted Lexi and she wished it would stop.She wanted to have a clear mind,for what was about to happen next. Wanted to live her life as it should be.

How should it be tho?She shook her head,she needed to stop questioning everything.

Kara next to her visibly was broken.Her eyes were clouded,looking around and searching for something.Maybe even seeing things that were not there.She looked ill, her body was thinner then before,her  face sunk down and her hair was a total mess.Her breath was irregular and she smelled as if she was already dead.But Lexi saw nothing else in her then a good soul that needed help.She should not think about her enemy like that,but somehow feelings rose inside her that this woman never was a bad person.When she saw Kara in that way,innocent and not someone who is dangerous she realized that the thing she was about to do here was wrong.

This f%cking liquid,Lexi often asked herself what exactly she was injecting herself there.This yellow liquid was obviously some kind of a drug.Even if Lexi needed it to feel strong she was not stupid.This liquid is dangerous and she had to inject it to Kara.This weak helpless woman who needed her help now.She was not strong or intimidating anymore.Only alone and hurt.Lexi  had compassion with her.

The liquid had a chemical name,that is long and complicated,it was something like "Lysergic acid diethylamide 4.20" or something and it was based on a drug of the 21th century,they called it LSD before.But it was changed due a lot of experiments and attacked parts of the brain that are used for self-protection and also emphaty now.Lexi remebered this from somewhere,but where had she ever heared that?It made her coldhearted and also it blocked her memories somehow.She knew she would never inject herself that stupid liquid ever again on purpose.But she needed to find out more about this organization.And she needed to act as if nothing happend while she figured this all out.

She took a vial with the yellow glewing liquid and knew all of the people will figure out if she was not injecting this to Kara and also to herself.The yellow glewing eyes will be needed,for both of them.As a sign that they are members of Reign still.

Kara said not a single word the whole time,but as she saw the yellow substance her face was filled with fear."Yellow is a dark color" she whispered and grabbed Lexis arm.She looked up to her, these beautiful blue eyes,soon needed to be yellow.Lexis heart broke a little bit.

And even if she was feeling bad and guilty right now,it were her own feelings finally again.

"ShhShh, i know you are still there,you are not gone yet.I wont hurt you again,I will protect you now,ok?You are important to Lena and i need to apologize for what i did to her."

When Lexi said Lenas name,Karas eyes suddenly became clear for a moment."....Lena"She seemed to remeber something and Lexi knew that Zor El, or maybe only Kara Danvers,the real Kara Danvers was still inside there.

Maybe it is true what they say,maybe love is stronger then anything else on this planet.She said weird things to Lena about this before,but how was she able to doubt now that love in any form was strong and real?

In that moment she saw clear she was always wrong,she always thouht love can only exsist in this one form and if it is not like that it is abnormal.That was so stupid of her and one day she had to explain Lena that she was wrong the whole time.Love is not knowing any borders or walls,it was stronger then anything.Her love for her sister for example.She remebered it and she was not planning on losing it again.

Kara still grabbed Lexis arm,and Lexi patted it softly."We will share the liquid ok?Maybe the both of us are able to stay ourselfs that way.With only half a dose.I am really sorry but i have to do this,for us both.I am sorry for everything i did,i hope you can forgive me one day"

Kara looked confused and scared as Lexi injected half of the vial into her vein and her eyes glew in a stronger yellow again.Lexi felt the cruel side of her again pushing through her forehead,but this time it was not the side that was stronger.She was able to control it now.But what this substance would do to a broken mind as Karas? She had no clue and she was afraid to lose another person.

"Kara Danvers!You need to fight another time,ok? You need to remeber who you are.Dont forget how loving and beeing loved feels like.I beg you to fight one last time"

She looked in this confused blue puppy eyes as she injected her the other half of the vial. Yellow fighted its way through Karas veins,then her eyes fighted.Blue,Yellow,back to blue and after some state of green finally stayed yellow.It was done.

Karas eyes became clear,her face had a hard look and her voice was cold as ice."What happend to me and who are you?"
