Chapter 16

Lena

They had a plan to trick James.If he was a member of Reign that would reveal him for sure.It was a bluff of course but it will work.

As the sun rises,Lena and Alex walked to the center of the city and called a meeting Slowly the sleepy people started to join them It started getting louder on the place as the sun shined on them .A few minutes after that whole city was there,and Alex began to speak to the waiting crowd:"dear people of National City,are you ready now? We got a secret tip and now we know the place where the Reign  brought Zor El.We are going to attack them this evening."

James posture stiffed as he tried to keep calm,Alex exactly saw fear in his eyes.Lenas theory became more and more plausible."James, would you say the volunteers are ready for a fight,as their trainer it is your opinion that is needed."

He seemed reliefed as he spoke a slowly."Miss Danvers,not yet apparently,if we could have one or two days more to train it would be better."There it was,the lie that Alex exspected.She saw the trainings and they were more then ready.He wanted to give them time,to inform them.For Alex it was clear now and the betrayal hurt bad.But it was still not a real profe yet, nothing they can confront him with.Lena took her hand,as she saw how Alex became a little angry.They had to play their roles a little longer,calm and strong.Alex should not look angry now or their whole bluff was for nothing and Lena reminded Alex of that by softly pushing her hand.

She relaxed a little,she had to stay calm for Kara now.And she called James to her:"James i want to talk to you!"James came over and stood in front of her in a submissive position.Alex knew this positiure but she never notived the evil and disrespectful glance in his eyes.Til now and now she saw it clear and felt anger rise again.She turned around to hide it.

"James could you do the watch this night?!Alex asked him and tried to sound normal.She waited for him to take the trap.And he did,Alex heard relief in his voice as he agreed."Of course Miss Danvers"

So if he really was a mole he would try to sneak out and inform the Reign that they will be attacked soon.That was the base of the whole plan.Alex and Lena got some help and yeah they have to wait til the evening to see if their plan is gonna work.Lena was so sure that it would work that she already started to imagine how she would punish him for all the pain and sorrow he brought over National City.And she would press the truth out of him,if it was the only way to find Kara.

The thoughts about Kara always were the best and worst part of her day.Actually it was her whole day.Kara was alwayson her mind,stuck in her heart.This woman changed her as no one else did before.Alex words were in her mind,that loving someone was a gift and not disgusting and against the nature.

She really thought about that homophobic sentences,why would so many people tell her that?And she started questioning this whole shit.She sometimes has this phases when she is becoming philosophic:

"Human nature is some bullshit.Peoples reasons to disrespect love in any way ,while love really was a strong and wonderful feeling.What if all of them never experienced love and thats the reason why people cant accept others to find their love.They are to afraid to let someone close because they think beeing theirself is a shame,and the real reason why they cant love anyone is just because they never really liked theirself and think they dont deserve this feeling.They are jealous of what others are able to feel while they only know a void inside of them.And so they try to fill this void by telling all the other people that love is not real.Because for them it never was real, only a dream that was unreachable.They never trusted anyone ever enough to prove it wrong  and so it continues 

hate everyone=hate theirself=not feeling worth=no trust=not opening up=not getting proved wrong=no one cares about you =not feeling worth again=hate theirself.....

I also thought this way before,never opened up to anyone because i never felt worth it,so i just stopped letting people close to me.Could have been one reason why i was so cold to Lexi when we were younger.It was my fault,of course it was."

Sooner then Lena thought the evening came.The sunset was beautiful as the light grew red and darker.She was ready to confront this bastard that took Kara away from her and that was indirectly the killer of Ruby.Everything was ready and Lena hid next to the gate to National City.It started to become cold as the sun disappeared,but Lena never left her place.And really an hour after the sun was completly gone a dark shadow walked across.Ths shadow opened the gate and Lena came out of her hiding place."GOTCHA you bastard"She screamed as she ripped of his mask.

James looked at her deadly-"What are you doing here Miss Luthor?"His smile was fake and he seemed really angry.

Lena slapped him,her hand did it before she even thought about it."This was for Kara you son of a bitch"he looked at her,slowly touching his cheeck were Lena hittet him.His hand turned into a fist sslowly threatening ...and flash,Lena slapped him even harder from the other side."And this one...that was for Ruby."James realized that a lie wont help here,Lena knew his secret already.

For a small moment you could see something like regret in his eyes,maybe because he still was a human even if he was the worst one of the human race."It was nothing personal with Ruby!It was not even planned."His voice was controlled and there was no sign of any guilt in it anymore."Zor El is who we wanted and we got her.Thats all that mattered"He grinned into Lenas face."What is your plan Miss Luthor?You wanted to fight me,you small tiny woman without experience?Sorry you are brave but stupid.I really dont want to do this but you left me no choice.Just greet Ruby for me,i will reunite you soon."

"You wish you asshole"Lena said it without anger or emotion just as a simple fact.She knew she would win this fight.He replied in a mocking way:"Well i have to think about what i tell Alex later.This weak piece of shit.She wants to be a big leader but she will never be able to replace her sister,and losing you too now after all she lost...It will be easy for me to take over this City.We can reunite Zor El with the citizents soon,i am sure they are already working on it.But sadly you wont see Zor Els real strenght now,its not possible because you know to much"

As he came closer slowly,Lena turned to the left and punched him in his side.He underhestimated her,what she easily used against him.She kicked his one knee and he struggled with keeping the balance.Lena learnd a lot from this "weak piece of shit" as James pointed out.

But he was an experince fighter and Lena only started to train a few days ago so he got her in a moment where she was distracted and landed a fist in her stomach.She felt a blunt pain,which was really annoying but not a handycap.She continued fighting,she was quicker then James and always tricked him,she was never where he esxpected her to be.

Lena did her job well and distrackted him long enough so that Alex sneaked behind him,a big rock in her hands.When Alex was about to knock him out,Lena stayed still for a moment and smiled at him...."knocked out by a weak piece of shit hum?"Confusion glanced in his eyes,but he wasnt able to realize what is going on anymore because Alex smashed the rock on his head.

He fell to the floor and laid there,not moving."Omg Alex you havent killed him,have you?"Alex shook her head and watched for his chest to go up and down slowly."Hes alive,even if he deserved otherwise.Who is weak now asshole?"

Alex and Lena looked at each other,and started giggeling suddenly.It was the first time since that horrible day and maybe it was not the right time or place to do it now, but they were reliefed and felt hope rise inside both of them.With James they had a way to reach the Reign,and with them also Kara.

And both of them smiled as they carried James away.
