A suprise

Chapter 8

Lena

Lena never let Karas hand go while they walked through the jungle.Ruby had a lot of fun sitting on Karas shoulders,playing horse. With Lena she talked about her mum and the time with her.She told her what a nice person her mum is-she still believed her mum is alive.She told how Lena reminds her of her mum,she is so kind and caring and also always there for Ruby.Lena wished she had met this woman before it was too late.She sounded to be really great.Even if they lived in the same city as Lena never noticed this woman.She was a bit to introverted,as she realised now.

Ruby continued talking :" My mum is so beautiful,just as you Lena" Ruby smiled."She has brown hair and hazelnut eyes.And she smiles often,you should smile more often too."Lena gave Kara a look,that she shouldnt dare to tell Ruby that her mum is dead but Kara seemed as she remembered something,something important.She started smiling."Ruby sweetie,what is your mums name?"What was Kara doing? She should not  traumatize her ,but neither support the hope of Ruby,it is cruel when she will realize that her mum died.

"Samantha is her name and Arias as me"Kara smiled even brighter."Is it possible that your mum is called Sam?"Ruby nodded. Lena gave  Kara an confused look while Kara thought about the woman that Alex found in the woods...The woman with brown hair and brown eyes,that was not able to talk about children.The woman that they will see in a few moments because they are really close to their home now.Her heart was filled with joy,as she realized Ruby was right the whole time.Her mum really was alive.And they will meet soon.The world sometimes is not as cruel as the people think.

"Ruby i think i have a suprise for you,but you have to get off my shoulders before you can get it,we are almost there"She kneeled to the ground.A kneeling Zor El,only for a child.all the guards looked confused.Winn seemed as if he was good with this guards he and James became good friends while they walked together.They talked about their tasks and their work and James offered Winn a job as a guard of National city.He accepted.After that awkward kiss he gave Lena maybe some distance between them would be better.

Ruby jumped from Karas shoulders and ran around in excitement."What suprise is it,whaaat is it?"Lena also wanted to know what the woman is talking about.Then she saw it.Hidden in a big arena of trees and leafs,just as if it was a natural thing,there was a gate.Kara let out a sight.They are home.They are safe now.

Lena saw why National City is such a big secret.It is hidden really well, it fits perfect into the natural enviroment and without Kara,Lena wouldve never guessed that here is something else then a big wall of trees and bushes.When they entered the city,Lenas mouth opened with a little "wow" even Ruby stayed silent in that moment.It was huge,it was beautiful.There were real buildings.No tents no selfmade hutts.Buildings as they had them in the 21th century.

 When they entered the city a few citizents walked by and greeted Kara:"Zor El,what an honor,i am glad you are back "and then they also greeted the new people."Welcome to National City.!"The City was living,many people on the streets,more then Lena ever saw together in peace.This is the utopia that no one outside ever knew existed.Lena was speachless.

"Kara,this is just-it is beautiful" She came a little closer to Kara,their arms touched.Kara felt Lenas breath in her face as the woman came closer."You are amazing-you-I what can i say?"Kara grinned."I knew you would like it.A red haired woman walked to them.She greeted Kara and then she hugged her." Kara you are back,and you are fine!" Kara pulled the red haired closer to her and said:"of course I am,what have you thought,silly!"

Lena felt something inside her what was absolutley suprising-Jealousy.Who is this red haired? And why does it feels so bad when this beautiful woman hugs Kara?Lena stayed gently as she asked :"And who are you exactly?" she cant help that her voice was a little colder then it should have been.

Kara looked up:"Ohh right,Lena this is my sister Alex Danvers,Alex this is Lena Luthor,my -friend"Alex give Kara a look that she exactly understood:"a friend huu?Sure she is" then she smiled at Lena."Hey nice to meet you."And the she saw Ruby:"And who is this big girl?"

Lena felt relief,it was her sister,Alex.And then she wanted to hit herself because it was not her thing to care about Karas love interest.Yeah and pigs can fly.Lena doesnt know what is happening with her,but she knew that Kara was really special.She felt that Kara was special.

Meanwhile Ruby talked to Alex."I am Ruby, Kara said you are Alex?Are you my suprise?"Alex started to feel the same magic that Ruby already had used on all the others.Winn,Lena Kara,now Alex. She cant fight the urge wanting to see this girl smile."I dont know Kara am i the suprise?"Kara shook her head and walked in the direction of the medical cave.

"Kara this is really not a good idea,our guest is in a bad mood.She is really traumatized and i talked to her while you are gone.It seemed as if she lost her child,so bringing a child into that cave is from a psychological point of view  a really bad idea."Alex sounded worried,she and Sam,the woman in the medical cave became really good friends soon.

Kara smiled bright."Alex,this child,Ruby,cant you see it?Brown eyes brown hair,same lips.Lena safed her out of the ruins of Metropolis.It is the child Sam belived she lost."Alex eyes seemed to fell out of her head."Your serious?Thats great!How was the possibility?"Both sisters walked into the cave,Lena and Ruby waited outside,still not knowing what will happen.Ruby helt Lenas hand and Lena laid both of her arms around the girl.

Alex carefully walked in the cave,Sam stared to a wall,completly lost in thoughts,she looked a bit better then the day Alex found her,Alex did a great job.Sam also ate something a few hours ago.Alex washed her hair and her face and she looked a bit more human.She still looked broken,but Alex knew it wont last.She gently touched Sams cheeck and saw in her eyes:"Sam,can you come outside for a moment?We have something you should see."

Sam stood up,her head hung down,she walked like a zombie.Alex supported her,stabilized her,as she walked out.The light was blinding so she heard it before she actually saw her suprise:"MUM?!Ohh Mum!I knew you were alive i knew it!"Ruby left Lenas arms and ran to Sam.She jumped into her arms and snuggled herself into her mums arms.

Sam stood there paralized.She never thought she would hear that beautiful voice again.Her arms reacted automatically for what she thought she had lost,she hold her,pulled her to her chest and sank down on her knees.Never letting Ruby out of her arms again.Tears from both of them fell on the floor:"I am not dead,am I?Is this heaven?How?Ruby-"She cried.It were tears that cleaned her soul.

Lena stood there and was happy,this reunion made her tear up.Life can also be so beautiful sometimes.Kara sneaked behind her and laid her arms around her to let her feel less lonely.Lena was so small.Kara laid her chin down on Lenas hair.Lena never was that intimate with someone,bodycontact or soft fingers brushing her hair,that was new.But it felt so right ,she felt so loved,she felt worth it.They looked how the mother and the daughter helt each other,realizing they havent lost each other.Kara had an urge,she fighted against herself but she cant other then pressing her lips against Lenas hair.It was natural,and it felt right in that moment.Lena did her very best to protect Ruby and it was successful.

She blushed as Kara kissed her head softly and felt her heart speed up a little.She was wax in Karas presence.She never felt anything like that for anyone.It was scary but also really beautiful.She may have always been able to love,she just looked for love at the wrong place.

Slowly Sam stood up and hold Ruby in her arms.She searched for Lenas eyes."Lena Luthor right?The sister of Lexi? I owe you everything.Ruby told me what you did for her.You safed here,you protected her when i wasnt able to.You gave her the feeling that she is not alone.How can i ever thank you for all you did?"

Lena was a bit misplaced but smiled and responded:"You owe me nothing,your daughter is such an angle and she is really wise.I needed her just as much as she needed me."She smiled at Ruby and Ruby ran back to her."I will still come to you,ok?Can we have cuddletime again?"She really wanted that as her eyes made that begging look.

Lena asked Sam and she agreed with a happy look."You will always be welcome in my family,Lena Luthor"

Alex brought something that Lena havent seen in decades...It was a bar of chocolate.She splitted it in a few parts and reached them to Lena ,Ruby and Sam."What about the poor hungry girl over here" Kara asked pretending to be really upset.It made all of them smile,as they tasted the sweet sugery pleasure.

That was the first day in happieness since a while.
