"practice, practice, practice until it's perfect people" hunt said to all of the doctors in the OR. they were all working together to help conjoined twins.

"this is a long, complex procedure with many parts. therefore many opportunities for error. so we're gonna go over this again" he said, as they all listened. "team leaders, let's get in place"

the doctors had different coloured bands on their scrub caps, so they knew what teams they were on for the procedure.

"alright, green team over here, please" derek instructed his team.

"let's go red" arizona called out. grace and jackson were both on red team, along with alex and some others.

"we've offered this family every pro bono dollar, every surgical hand, every resource this hospital has. so i'm asking you for every resource that you have" hunt told them all. "be sharp, be present, be focused. dr robbins has been caring for these children, since the day they were born. they will each get a new life today. our actions will decide what kind of lives they will be. let's begin" he said revealing to dolls, for them to practice on.

"flaps are inset and viable. we're looking at, at least 18 hours so come and go if you need to. hydrate, eat, but he here at least 30 minutes before your procedures" hunt ordered them all.

"alright. next up, general surgery. first we need to establish each baby's blood supply to the shared colon" arizona explained.

"then we separate the colon, making the first incision-" another surgeon said.

"i will make the first incision" arizona said cutting him off. "we'll separate the colon" she told him.

"okay and now i'm checking the displaced kidneys-" he said and once again he got cut off.

"to make sure they're intact and functioning" she said.

"uh, that's implied" the surgeon nodded.

"i don't care" arizona said looking up at him. "say it"

grace looked at jackson, she was confused why arizona was being so tough on the guy.

"checking the kidneys to make sure they're intact and functioning" the surgeon said.

they all stood and watched the two surgeons. the whole time arizona was telling him what to do.

"you forgot to cauterize" arizona snapped at him. "you want this baby to bleed out?"

"no i-" he said.

"yeah, i should think not" she rolled her eyes.

"okay it's time to flip them" arizona announced.

"karev, donahue. you're up" derek said.

"wish me luck" grace whispered to jackson, as she walked over.

she was really nervous, the flip was such a risky part of the surgery. she knew these were just dolls and it wasn't the real thing yet, but she was still so nervous.

it didn't help either the fact arizona was nitpicking every little thing everyone did.

"ready?" she asked them.

"yeah" grace nodded, alex did the same thing.

"karev, you've rushed two steps ahead of us" arizona complained.
"no, you over me" alex said. "yours over mine, everything's fine. mine over yours, babies in the morgue. that's how it works"

"that's your pneumonic device?" arizona turned her face.

"guys, let's just slow down" grace mumbled.
