grace was sat on the windowsill staring out at the views of seattle. there was silence in the room, it wA just her. she was thinking. she let out a large sigh, before placing her hand onto her bump.

she began thinking about her upbringing and how her parents were with her. she never really had a nurturing mother. jennifer had her moments, but for the most of it she was cold. however, grace and her father used to always get a long. well, when she was younger at least, but as she became older her and her mom argued a lot more frequently and the fights would be worse, she would cut contact from her, which then led to her losing contact with her dad for moments as well.

she sat thinking about what type of mother she would turn into. all her life she wanted kids and she always assumed she'd be a caring and nurturing mother. this was probably due to the fact it was something she had always craved and she wanted her child to have that. the special bond between a mother and daughter.

however, she also had a strong worry that she would end up like her mother. it was what she knew best after all.

"one last push!" the nurse told mrs donahue, as she used all the last of her strength she had in her. she let out a large scream, before hearing the sound of her baby girl's cry. "congratulations, mr and mrs donahue you have a healthy baby girl" the ob smiled, as she passed her over to the parents.

tears of joy rolled out of mrs donahue eyes and down her cheeks, as she looked at her perfect baby girl. "i'll go get luke" mr donahue smiled, as he walked out of the room to go get their toddler.

mr donahue walked into the room holding hands with luke. "this is your baby sister" mr donahue whispered, as he lifted luke up so he could see her. "now, since you're her big brother you have to promise that you will protect her no matter, can you promise that?" he asked, as luke nodded.

"this is grace" mrs donahue smiled, as luke grabbed grace's small hand. "be careful, she's only little" mrs donahue reminded him with a small chuckle, as they shared a sentimental moment with their newest member.

the donahue's woke up particularly early on this morning, since it was christmas day. three year old grace and six year old luke were so excited to see what presents they were hoping to receive.

grace ripped open the wrapping paper from a huge present that she had kept till last. her mother helping her remove the ribbon and her father placing all the rubbish in the bin, whilst luke played with his presents.

"wow" grace gasped in a small voice. "dollhouse!" she cheered, as she saw a beautiful wooden victorian styled dollhouse. she was so excited to play with it.

later on that day grace was sat in her red tartan dress and white cardigan, tapping her patent leather shoes on the ground, as she waited. she watched the maid, becca walk around cleaning up. becca would give grace small smiles each time they made eye contact, as grace would give her a small shy one back.

"momma" grace smiled, as she watched her mom walk in putting on her gold watch.

she looked up at grace and told her to sit down in front of her on the stool, as she began brushing her curly hair. "and you're all done" she smiled, as she placed a red ribbon into her hair, as she kissed the top her head.

grace ran over to her new dollhouse and began playing with it, before mrs donahue caught her. "grace!" she yelled. "you're going to crease your dress" she told her, as she picked her up.
