grace woke up before jackson, so she went to go make them some coffee and breakfast for him waking up.

she played her favourite song and was dancing around the kitchen, as she made pancakes of course.

"good morning" grace happily said, as jackson walked into the kitchen.
"good morning to you too" he smiled as he leant in and kissed her.

"you're in a good mood" he chuckled to her as he saw her dancing around.
"i know" she smiled. "everything is just so good for once, you know? i mean we have our boards coming up so that's stressful, but other than that everything is just great"

"you're right" he nodded in agreement, as grace put their food on a plate, and sat down next to him to eat.

grace and jackson always did this thing where they would ask each other questions at meal time. it was something fun and different. sometimes the questions were silly, sometimes they were deep, but they really enjoyed doing it. it meant that they could get a better understanding of each other.

"okay, what's a childish thing that you still enjoy?" jackson questioned grace.
"colouring in" she smiled, as she ate some of her pancake. "if you had to choose a superpower between mind reading and invisibility, which one?"

"i feel like i'm back in fifth grade" he joked, but grace nagged him to answer. "i don't know, probably-"

"crap! i'm gonna be late!" she exclaimed with a panicked tone.

"i'm meant to meet up with torres, and go for a walk with her and sofia, whilst she helps me study" grace told him, as she grabbed her shoes and began putting them on.

"i love you bye" she smiled, as she quickly kissed him, before grabbing her keys and running out the door.

"you've found a 7.5cm triple-a on your 85 year old patient. go" callie stated, as she pushed sofia's buggy through the park.
"i would get an angio, assess his pulmonary and cardiac function, and see if he's a candidate for an endovascular repair" grace confidently replied.

"nope" callie disagreed shaking her head. "what? why not?" grace asked with furrowed eyebrows.

"because the patients dead. you killed him. he's dead" callie stated.
"no i didn't kill him. i did a stent graft and now he's living without the threat of a rupture, which is not dead" grace chuckled.

"mhm. i think you should buy him flowers, cause he's dead" callie once again stated.
"he is not dead" grace exclaimed. "i saved him the complications of an open procedure with a minimally invasive technique" she explained, as callie formed a smile on her face. "he's not dead" grace said shaking her head.

callie stopped in the middle of the park, and turned to look at grace with the smile on her face. "why have we stopped?" grace asked her.
"because we're done" callie told her.
"wait because i killed him?" grace sighed. "i didn't kill him" she defended herself.

"i know and so do you, even when i try to psych you out of it, which means..." callie smiled. "you're ready for the boards. the torres method is inside of you"

grace took a breath of relief as a smile formed on her face. "so i'm gonna go home to my wife, because i am sick of pushing this baby around this park, every morning at the butt crack of dawn" she chuckled, as she turned around.

"thank you" grace smiled, as torres began walking off.
"you're free donahue" she yelled. "go do whatever it is you do"
