A/N: this chapter will be a little different, it's going to be a flashback from when grace was a teenager. i'm going away from home to see family for a bit, so i won't be able to follow any episodes and i'm not sure how often it will be updated, but i promise i will do it as much as i can. i hope you guys understand <3 anyways that's it, i hope you enjoy!

being a teenager is hard. you're expected to always look a certain way, dress a certain way, act a certain way and if you're that little bit different, you are consider weird.

it's even worse when you get older and relationships, sex, drugs and alcohol come into it all.

fortunately, grace donahue was popular, she was beautiful, she was well-liked. however, it wasn't all as pretty as it may have seemed.

grace woke up at 6am, and headed to the bathroom to get ready for school. she had a shower and did the rest of her hygiene.

she looked at herself in the mirror and let out a large sigh, before putting on her makeup.

she walked down the stairs of her perfect new york penthouse and went to get some breakfast.

she grabbed some bread and some chocolate spread and peanut butter. she began eating it, before her mom walked in.

"good morning" mrs donahue nodded, as she went to make herself a coffee. she looked over at grace and saw what she was eating. "grace, you can't eat that" she scoffed. "you have a pageant on saturday and you definitely won't win if you gain any more weight" she stated.

grace felt her eyes tear up slightly, but she held it back and try to remain strong, as she put the bread back down into the plate.

"how about i make you a green juice? that's healthy and refreshing" mrs donahue smiled.

"and also disgusting" grace mumbled, as she walked out of the room.

"darling, i'm just trying to help you" mrs donahue called out. grace just rolled her eyes and left.

grace met with her friend, kate. they went over to a pretzel truck to get some food.

"i'm absolutely starving" grace complained, as she took a bite.

"yeah same" kate agreed, as they began walking to school.

grace was walking to biology. all of her friends hated it, but she had a great interest for it. "grace, we're all gonna skip bio. wanna come?" her friend, chelsea asked.

"uh, no i'm good" grace nodded, as she walked to the class.

when she sat down, she took her books out of her bag and got ready for the lesson to begin.

"so can anyone tell me how to find osmosis?" the science teacher, mr parker asked the class.

grace raised her hand and their eyes met, but he skipped her and asked someone else, specifically a boy who ended up getting the question wrong.
