So I keep a sort of list in my head of animals/creatures that would be absolutely terrifying if they were scaled up in size, and the creature that has been at the top of the list for a while now has been the starfish.
Now I'm sure most people when they hear that probably think I'm nuts XD
How could a starfish be scary? They barely move and just chill on the seafloor.
Ok, but let me ask you this: do you know how a starfish eats?
Yeah it's not good.
So basically the starfish moves over its prey, either some sort of mollusk or a dead thing, pins it beneath itself, then throws up its stomach onto it. Then its stomach releases digestive juices and acids to break down whatever it's going to eat before sucking its stomach and the soupified prey back into itself.
Yeah ok now imagine that happens to you. A giant starfish pins you down and slowly digests you outside its body before sucking you in.
Nope nope nope nope nope.
It's a very good thing they are tiny.
