So I mostly just typed a bunch of bullet points as my thoughts came and went, and I was too lazy to try to make it make sense.

If any of this is inaccurate I'm sorry it was late, I was bored, and I didn't research any of this. It all came from my tired brain.

So yeah here it is!

 HOW CONTINENT CAME TO BE

Two separate land masses coming together to create the mountain range, which cut off wet winds coming from the east, creating a desert

The two separate land masses were tropical rainforest to the south, temperate forest in the middle, and boreal to the north

Does Pyrrhia have seasons?? Maybe it's not tilted on its axis (which wouldn't work anyway but hey I don't think Tui cares much about science in her books about dragons)

Previously had a channel of water between the two that dragons could easily fly across

Continent is closer to the northern hemisphere and is way bigger than Pantala (which is right near the equator fairly close to Pyrrhia)

"Wing tip" is all boreal forest with a bit of tundra at the top, aside from the Eastern coastal area, which gets warm currents and wind, so it remains more temperate (like France)

Ice kingdom used to be mostly boreal as well with some tundra, but when much of the winds were cut off by the mountains much of the moisture was lost (not all, winds from the north carrying storms still exist), so it became mostly tundra and arctic desert

Rainforest, mud, and sea kingdom get the most warm currents so they are mostly tropical

Sea kingdom is dotted with islands, some caused by rising of the ocean over the land with plate movements, and some from volcanoes, possibly used to be a basin that was below sea level a long, long time ago with some mountains in the middle before drastic plate movements

Sea kingdom is much colder up north, seawings there are fatter to deal with the cold

Mud kingdom is below sea level, allowing for the swamps and many rivers

Tides are very violent on foot, allowing for the multiple canyons and caves it had as well as how it eroded so fast (honestly most unrealistic thing I've found so far with this dumb exercise)

So basically the mountains block moisture from getting over them, poor sandwings

HOW DRAGONS EVOLVED FROM EACH OTHER

Basic Facts:

Hybrids are canon, so they all have to be related through a common ancestor

No hybrid combinations have been shown to be inviable in some way (whether by being stillborn or infertile), so I can't use that to show that certain tribes are closely or less closely related
