I was just about to hang up my lab apron when Doctor Nygma rushed in. "Put your apron and gloves back on. We found a girl. Well Gordon found one."
I did what he said, though he didn't give much explanation.
A stretcher came in and lying there was a short curly brown haired girl with tan skin.
Her eyes were shut, she had dirt and grass stains all over and a gash in her head bleeding everywhere. Her clothes looked like some sort uniform but it was hard to tell through the dirt.
When they brought her over to me and Nyg I didn't really know what to do.
Gordon came in fast and serious, he explained, "We got an anonymous call at the station saying that we better go find the missing one, and her location which was the park on 23rd."
"We get prank calls like that all the time but this one sounded to me like the person who called was the one who did this.
"We took the team out to search the whole area, it took an hour before we found anything.
"But then under a shady tree I saw some grass that looked like it was dug up and someone tried to cover it back.
"We dug the hole and found her. She got a blow to the back of the head. She's unconscious. This girl was buried alive."
I was shocked. Of all the things in this corrupt city being buried alive wasn't a regular thing.
"I'll run DNA tests and try to wake her up." I said.
"I'll run X Rays and stitch her head. She probably has a concussion." Nygma decided.
"Thanks Docs. Report anything you find to the station."

I was watching Switched at Birth when there was breaking news.
It started raining outside like it was on Halloween, it actually hasn't rained since.
"Breaking news: The NYPD team received a threatening anonymous call that if they went to the park on 23rd they'd be sure to find a missing high school girl there. At approximately 7:23 p.m. she was found buried in the ground.
"She is unconscious as we know, the girl has not been identified yet.
"But we can be sure that this wasn't a girl who tripped on a walk in the park.
"It has been ruled an attempted homicide, meaning she was buried alive."
I turned off the TV and sat shocked.
The curly hair and dark skin looked too familiar.
Nicole was buried alive.
