"I got you out of jail. It's the least you can do."
"I can't. I got into jail for attention. I'm not like you." He said.
"Like me?"
"Not that your evil. But, you're not good dude." He scratched his now neon green hair.
"I am simply the catalyst in every equation. I never do the dirty work." I said. "And you, my friend, are dirty." I smiled.
"Why can't you do it?"
"I am blonde and blue eyed, I walk with a cane and they call me Penguin."
"Oh I see. I'm from the Gotham slums and I have piercings and neon hair. More.. intimidating."
"Now you see where I'm going." I nodded and smiled.
"What exactly do you want me to do?"
"She escaped. I want you to find her. And bring her to me."
"What will you do then?"
"That is up to me. Depends." I smirked.
"On what?"
"What Caroline, Liam, and Caitlin plan to do about it."
"Caitlin's a part of this? You're willing to let your ex get hurt? She's a nice girl Luke."
"I know. Shes not the important one here though. You know who is."
"I know."
"I can give you power Michael. If you bring her back. But there's something we have to do first. If you think you can take it." I said.
"What is it?"
I pulled out the needle and opened the barrel in the corner of the room. When I opened it steam rose and an intoxicating smell started to drift through the room. Michael's nose scrunched at the stench. I filled the small needle with the toxic green liquid, closed the barrel tight and revealed it to Michael.
"What's that."
"This will make you capable of what I need you to do. It's a big responsibility. If you bring her back, you will be rewarded with another title. You will be the hero's greatest enemy."
"Surely I will need a name." He said.
I grabbed his arm and pierced his inner wrist with the liquid. He screamed of great pain and struggle. I laughed an evil laugh and all the power between us seemed to lift and rise into the atmosphere. His eyes turned black as night and were wide open.
Suddenly it was over. He sat there like he had just been electrocuted.
"Michael? Did it work?" I searched for a sign of life in him. He smiled and then snickered.
"This is no laughing matter Mike." I said strictly.
"Why so serious?" He snickered again. "I feel great. A little hungry though."
I looked at him puzzled.
"What do Penguins eat for lunch Luke?"
I shrugged. "Fish?"
"Icebergers!" He exploded with laughter, I smiled.
"Very funny, Michael. You are quite the Joker."
