Police Station
3:15 p.mMr. Payne
"Penguin." I said in disgust, he was wearing a suit that had a long tail in the back. Not an actual tail. Like a tail of the suit. His nose long and curvy and skin pale. It's been a while since I've seen him.
He wobbled with his walking stick down the front of the station, smirking like usual. Two big, old blokes were walking with him.
"You know Penguin?" Caitlin asked. She's getting suspicious.
"Yes." I said, I walked over to him and Gordon followed.
"Penguin get out of here right now. If you put her in danger I swear I'll-"
"Who Caitlin?I don't need her anymore." He retorted.
"You know who I mean birdie." I said harshly.
"Haven't called me birdie since--"
"Shut your beak Penguin." The comebacks rolled off my tongue like syrup.
Before I knew it I was punched in the face. Blood trickled down a black and blue, I was ready to kill him now.
"Hey! Get out of here or I'll shoot." Gordon pointed the gun behind me at Penguin.
"Gladly." He laughed. "But surely I'll be back."
"Stay away from her." I ordered while he was leaving with the other two blokes who just stood there the whole time behind him. I saw his twitchy little smirk.
Caroline
I didn't watch what was going on so Liam's bleeding face was a surprise.
"What the heck happened?" I asked.
"What does it look like? Penguin punched me in the face." He wiped the blood with his hand. Caitlin had ran to get a wet towel, she gave it to me.
Why me? I thought, I raised the towel to his eye and pat at it, he winced so I was more careful. His eye was turning blacker and puffier by the second, he looked ridiculous.
There was a trickle of blood running from his lip to his chin, I cleaned that carefully. Caitlin snickered behind me.
Last were his hands.
He smiled a thank you, I threw out the bloody towel.
"You're explaining this tomorrow."
"Ugh I don't think I can come tomorrow I'm gonna take a sick day.." He tried.
"Then I'll call the school and tell them you refuse to teach me."
"Hate you."
"I'll call the school and say you're being mean to me."
He rolled his eyes and we left the station for today, still wondering where Nicole could be.
