They looked at each other for some minutes "Ok...hm I guess it could be a solution" she said and looked at him, she grabbed her things and then they went to his place, he put a pillow and a blanket on the couch "Hm...if you need something you can call me" he said "Ok...thank you" she said, Gibbs went in the basement, Jack laid on the couch, it wasn't really comfortable but it was better than nothing, the problem now was to fall asleep, that was really difficult...at a certain point she decided to go to Gibbs so she went in the basement, Gibbs looked at her, she looked back at him, for sure there was embarrassment in the air and after some minutes he stopped working on the boat "Hm...everything ok?" he asked "Ehm...yes...would you mind if I stay here?" she asked looking at him...maybe she shouldn't have asked it but that question immediately came up to her mind and she had to ask...at first Gibbs stayed silent and then he said something that Jack didn't expect "Uhm...yeah...do you want to help me?..." he asked, Jack couldn't lose that chance "Yeah.." she said and went near him, that hour and a half that they spent together was special or at least for Jack it was, they talked and they ended up laughing and smiling at each other, maybe during those moments Gibbs understood something...or maybe not...
Jack yawned, Gibbs looked at her "Maybe you should go to sleep now, you need to rest" he said, she looked back at him "Yeah...good night cowboy" she said and hugged him, she didn't really know why she did it but she just wanted to, after the hug she went upstairs and laid on the couch, she looked at the ceiling and after a couple of minutes she fell asleep.
It was night and it was raining, Jack was walking down the street looking for a place where she could stay until the rain had calmed down, she saw a house and went to knock the door was slightly open, she heard some strange noises and decided to go in, she found herself in front of another door that she opened, she went down the stairs in the basement and saw a person with a covered face, he was kicking a person in the abdomen, it was Gibbs!
She wanted to help him but she couldn’t move, she could only watch while the person tortured him.
Jack started yelling while sleeping, Gibbs went near her and tried to wake her up "Hey Jack...I'm here" he said, she woke up after some minutes, Gibbs was looking at her and felt embarassed again "Are you ok Jack?" he asked, Jack sat on the couch and looked at him again, probably something happened while she was sleeping, this time the nightmare was different, maybe worse than the first one...this time she could only look at him..."Jack?" Gibbs said and brought Jack's attention back to him "I'm ok..." she said and looked at the wall, Gibbs sat near her "It doesn't seem that you're ok" he said and looked at her "Ok maybe not really ok but it was just a bad dream...nothing important" she said "Hm...do you want to talk about it?" he asked "For now no..." she replied, she was feeling tired and for sure she needed to sleep but after the nightmare it was really difficult...what made her feel really bad was the fact that she couldn't event talk with Gibbs about it and it would sound really weird. She knew that at acertain point, she would fall asleep even if she didn't want and it would be norma because the night before she couldn't sleep...slowly she started to close her eyes and she laid her head on his shoulder falling asleep, Gibbs looked at her, he didn't want to wake her up so he just stayed near her the whole night.
Jack woke up and when she realized that she was really close to Gibbs, she felt a little bit embarrassed but soon she felt good, maybe it was strange to be so close to him but at the same time it gave her so much confidence, she looked at him for a couple of minutes, she didn’t know whether to kiss him or not but then she decided that maybe it was better to wait some more time...Gibbs looked at her "Are you feeling better?" he asked, this question brought Jack back to reality "Yes..." she replied, they had a coffee and then they both went to work.
