Gibbs stayed for a couple of days in the hospital and every time that Jack had some free time, she went to the hospital and spent some time with him and she could finally tell what she wanted to say to him that night before he left.
The only problem was that after that he came back at work they were completely ignoring each other as if that kiss never happened and some times the situation got a bit awkward.
"The situation between those two isn't one of the best but I'm pretty sure that something happened...I mean probably a kiss" Nick said with a little smile on his face "That's for sure" Ellie said "You know something that we don't know uh?" Nick asked "Ehm...nothing more than you know" Ellie replied, Gibbs came in the bullpen with his coffee in his hand, Jack was walking pretty fast and she wasn't really paying attention on where she was going, she bumped into Gibbs and his coffee fell, he put his arm around her waist as if he wanted to stop her and then he looked at her but she tried to avoid his look "Ehm...can you let me go...?" she asked, she felt a bit embarrassed but after some seconds Gibbs moved away his arm and she took a few steps back and walked to her office. Nick went near Ellie and McGee "The coffee is dead, anyway what do you think that will happen now between those two?" Nick asked whispering "ehm...I don't know but we shouldn't talk about this now" McGee said whispering. After a few minutes Gibbs went in Jack's office "Why you're here?" Jack asked and looked at him, he looked at her "So now you don't answer hm?" Jack asked "Do you have a problem with me being here?" Gibbs asked "Yes Jethro, I have a problem with you staying here and staring at me without an actual reason like if the situation wasn't already awkward before" she replied and went back to her paperwork, Gibbs went near her and kissed her on the cheek "You know that what happened before is not a problem, right?" Gibbs asked but Jack didn't answer so he walked to the door to try to catch her attention "Can we talk about this later? Well...we also have to talk about this whole situation..." Jack asked "Yeah...ok..." Gibbs answered and left her office.
