A step away

Special moment

Jack stayed for dinner at Gibbs' place and after dinner they both sat on the couch and they cuddled for a little, at a certain point Jack started shaking a little, Gibbs noticed it, he took off his hoodie and gave it to her, she took it, put it on and then looked at him "Thank you" she said and smiled slightly at him, he put his arm around her neck and kissed her on the cheek.
That moment was so perfect and they were both feeling happy about it, maybe more than happy, it was really a special moment and after all that embarrassment that there had been among them during those days, there was really need for that moment. Jack was really happy to be able to spend some time alone with him after all they’d been through, she also felt stupid to have thought even for just a second that most likely they wouldn't have been able to solve that...she was aware that that moment wouldn't have last forever but it was fine so because there would've been other moments of that kind or at least she hoped so. Gibbs did some little things during the last days also if she didn't really pay attention to them because the situation always got awkward, but now, on second thought, it was really nice...even the moments when their hands touched each other, before the awkward moment arrived, gave to both of them a slight happiness and maybe even a small smile that appeared on their faces but really, everything felt so right...even the awkward moments now were no longer a problem and if there would've been others well...it wouldn’t have been such a big problem anymore. An awkward moment brought them to this really special moment so that was just good "Can I have a glass of water? Please" Jack asked "Sure" Gibbs replied, he got up and went in the kitchen, in the meanwhile Jack started to feel really tired, she laid on the couch and while she was closing her eyes she smiled slightly. When Gibbs came back in the living room and noticed that she fell asleep, he put the glass on the coffee table, went to grab a blanket and laid it on her, he sat near her and looked at her. After a couple of minutes he thought about everything that she said to him while he was in the hospital and smiled slightly.
