Ellie kept hugging Jack but after a while Jack moved away and walked towards the door "Jack, you aren't thinking about going to search for him alone, right?" asked Ellie, Jack looked at her, that was what she wanted to do, she couldn't stay there without doing nothing, she wanted to save him, Ellie went near her "Jack think please...don't let this situation make you blind, don't do things without really thinking, don't go to search for him alone, the last thing that we need is that you get in danger too, for sure that isn't what Gibbs wants..." said Ellie, Jack looked at her "I know that you love Gibbs but going to search for him without even knowing where he is could make the situation worse and you know that..." Ellie added, Jack kept looking at her and Ellie hugged her again "So...what about now you go at home and later I come?.." asked Ellie, Jack stayed silent for a while "Ok..." she answered.
It was around 7:30 p.m. and Jack was waiting for Ellie to come, she was still thinking about Gibbs and she was feeling useless, she wasn't doing anything to find him...she was just sitting on the couch and looking around as if that could solve everything, she needed to find Gibbs as soon as possible but she couldn't do much. After a while Ellie knocked at the door and Jack went to open, she let her in and then went back to the couch and Ellie sat next to her "I brought also something to eat if you want..." Ellie said and looked at her, Jack looked away "I know that for you is hard but just try to take that out of your head for some time and try to relax...we'll find him, I promise" Ellie said, Jack looked around, well...Ellie was right, she needed to distract herself, she couldn't keep thinking about that situation the whole time and probably that could've helped...after some minutes she looked at Ellie and smiled slightly, Ellie hugged her "Thank you..." Jack said, after that they had dinner and while having dinner they talked about many things, slowly Jack was starting to feel better, well that wasn't deleting everything but she just put aside all the thoughts that were bothering her, she tried to not think about Gibbs also if it was really hard.
Ellie and Jack talked a lot and had also a lot of fun, when for Ellie arrived the time to go, she walked to the door but then she decided to stay at Jack's apartment for the night just to be sure that everything would be ok and to stay with Jack in case something happened during the night.
