The time didn’t seem to pass and by now Gibbs was losing hope that they would've found him, what if something had happened? What if something happened to Jack?
His head at that moment was full of thoughts but at the same time he was also looking for a way to escape from that place. The man opened the door quickly and slammed it closing it behind him, he went near Gibbs and knelt down next to him, he glared at him for some minutes "There’s not much time left but I have nothing to lose so if you think that I’ll waste time taking you elsewhere...well...you’re wrong, by doing that I would only waste valuable time that won't be returned to me. For sure your friends won't be so kind with me but truthfully saying I don’t care, I did and I’m doing what I planned and I’m quite satisfied. I’m sure that after all this you’ll remember me." the man said and kept glaring at him, Gibbs wasn’t really paying attention to what the man was saying "Oh sorry...I've been rude, I didn’t really introduce myself...anyway my name is Jared...you'll remember this name for a long time" he said and made a weird smile "Don’t worry, your friends will be here soon, they'll save you...maybe" he added, smiled again and kicked Gibbs in the abdomen more than one time, he felt so much pain.
The man turned around when he heard a noise and left the room leaving Gibbs alone, after a while Gibbs started thinking about Jack again, he thought about the kiss again and also about that night...he shouldn't have left Jack alone to meet the man and he should have told to her where he was going...but he didn't say anything to her because he didn't want to make her worry...by doing so he had probably made the situation worse, he couldn't even imagine how she felt and how she was feeling during those days.
The sound of gunshots and a voice near him brought him back to reality "Jethro please..." the voice was saying, he slowly opened his eyes and looked around...there was Jack, she was looking at him and as soon as she saw that he had opened his eyes, she wiped away her tears and smiled, that smile, just seeing it made all the pain that Gibbs was feeling disappear, it gave him so much strength, he was really happy to see her, after all what happened seeing her was like a ray of sunshine after a storm, he needed to see that smile, he needed to see her. Jack got closer to him, Gibbs looked at her "Jack not..." he didn't even had the time to end the sentence that Jack kissed him. At first, when Gibbs wasn't opening his eyes Jack was so scared because she thought that she lost him and that was really destroying her...but when he opened his eyes...when that happened, Jack was overwhelmed by a feeling of happiness and many other emotions that she couldn't describe, he was in front of her and he was still alive...that was all she cared about and then she felt the need of kissing him and she did it.
After the kiss Jack looked at him and smiled, when Gibbs saw her smile...he smiled too.
