21st February, 2014

"You're not dressed yet?" Ashton asked as he stepped in our bedroom fresh from the shower. His towel was wrapped low around his waist and he had a smaller one slug around his neck to catch the water that was still falling from the ends of his hair.

"Wait..." I said slowly looking up from my phone. "You were really serious about that?" Ashton had come home a little early from the restaurant today and had mentioned something about us going on a date later.

I found it a little bit weird because we had been going out for almost three years now and we had sort of settled into a comfortable routine of staying our asses at home. We never really went out that much unless it was to hang out with his friends or something work related. Not that I had a problem; I was perfectly okay with us as we were. I was never really fond of having to dress up and go pay a ridiculous about of money for a shit dinner when you could just order pizza and Ashton got that which is why I didn't take him seriously when he said we were going on a date later.

"Yes, I was. Now get your cute little butt up and get dressed." Ashton said walking to the closet and pulling out his black flannel shirt that he knew I loved.

"But then I'd have to shower and I don't even know what to wear." I said trying to come up with an excuse. I simply was not in the mood to put in so much effort to go out.

"Then go shower. I'll pick out a dress. Who knows? We could even match. Now go! Get your ass in the shower. We don't wanna be late." He said pushing me out the bedroom.

I showered as fast as I could have and the minute I walked into the bathroom, a scowl made its way to my face.

"Ashton, no." I said when I saw the dress he had picked out. It was this black dress he had gotten me that I refused to wear. Nothing was wrong with the dress really; I just wanted to give him a hard time about it. It wasn't anything too fancy either; Ashton has said he's gotten it because of the cut out style at the back of the dress.

"Shit, Adri... just put the dress on let's go. If you stall this any longer we'll only get dessert and I'm hungry."

I was too hungry to put up a fight so I got ready in silence. When we got on the elevator he took my hand in his and I dropped my head so he couldn't see the smile on my face. That sweet moment ended as fast as it started; when the elevator doors opened I saw the downpour that was happening outside. I had to admit; I felt a pang of disappointment because even though I was initially dreading leaving the apartment, I got excited somewhere along the line of me getting ready.

"It's raining!" I whined as we got off the elevator. I don't even know why we got off; there was no way we could still go out with it pouring like that.

"No... I don't think it's that bad." Ashton murmured tugging on my hand a bit. He led us through the lobby and to the door. He pushed it open a bit and had to end up stepping back a bit when a gush of cold breeze hit his face.

"We should've just stayed in the apartment!" I whined throwing my hands up and letting them fall back to my side. "It's raining now!"

"Sorry!" Ashton muttered turning back and pulling us to the elevator.

"You made me get ready for nothing, Ashton! And now it's raining balls!"

"Well, I'm sorry but I can't control the weather."

"You were the one who suggest going out in the first place."

"Well, you didn't have to tag along."

"I wasn't going to! But nooooooooo you insisted and I actually got a little bit excited for this and now we can't go because it's fucking raining."
