LOVE SO PASSION

CHAPTER 10

Surprised at his request, Sofia wasn't sure of what to say, so that she wouldn't raise suspicion. Still waiting for her response he looks away from the floor to look at her.

She looked so beautiful under the pouring light, adorned in a cream colored blouse and a flowing flowered skirt. But her face revealed his fears, she wasn't going to accept his proposal before he could look away their both eyes locked.

Sofia has always admired Elvis, he is everything any sensible woman desires.

Handsome check, a good dresser check,smart, respectful,family oriented etc but what actually stands him out is his humility, kind-heartedness, generosity and confidence in himself.

Although these were qualities she had seen before he left all those years ago,they have not been altered at all instead they have been enhanced greatly.

But she can't possibly break her promise to Malvis,not after their heated argument and her fervent plea to do whatever he requests. Friendship is safe but how close, before she could respond he speaks up.

"If you don't feel comfortable with it please don't trouble yourself thinking of an answer,we can continue as we were boss-secretary, moreover we are "siblings",at least we can give honest responses when the other asks about their welfare"he concludes all the while walking towards her; taking her hands,he gently rubs them.

"Sofia please if you have difficulty in any way do let me know about it.if it's so private you can confine in ma. You can express your heavy burdens to father. Just know that I care about you too,goodnight''
with that he left her standing there.

Still surprised,but relieved that their conversation didn't go further she walks back into the house.

By morning Elvis feels refreshed. The weight on his heart felt lighter. After the conversation he had with Sofia the previous night he came into his room and poured out his heart to God.

He had studied the Bible and found solace and peace. He loved Sofia and God knew how pure,true and honest his feelings are but he has to respect Sofia's choice to be herself.

Prepared for work he got down for breakfast what he didn't expect was to see Sofia breaking bread with his parents. After greeting his parents,he greets Sofia too with a warm smile which she returned surprising him the more.

Arriving at work together was the most beautiful feeling Elvis had. Carrying his briefcase and her purse all at once he offers to help her when suddenly another pair of hands reached out to her.

Looking up at once they both are surprised to see Malvis,with a cheeky smile. Feeling uncomfortable and confused at the same time Sofia drops everything on the floor.

Shocked she quickly apologises and stoops to pick them up, offering to help her was Elvis.

To avoid any scene she gently refuses and picks them all on her own and briskly walks into the building without a backward glance leaving the gentlemen behind.

All the while Malvis had stood watching them his intentions were to see Sofia's reaction when Elvis offered to help her,he was pleased with her refusal but he wasn't satisfied.

When he had arrived earlier he saw them laughing and Sofia was being friendly with him. And at this moment he stands here watching Elvis stare longingly towards Sofia's retreating back.

Turning his attention towards Malvis, he extends his hand for a greeting. Scoffing within him,Malvis receives the greeting from him.

"It's been a while,Malvis" Elvis greeted him cheerfully. How have you been?how is business?I will like to know what you are up and doing within the business sphere,I hope we get to do business in the future; he concludes with a friendly smile.

Stopping in his tracks at the last statement,Malvis smiled mischievously without Elvis notice.

"Business is fine" I will love to do business with you in the nearest future. In his mind Malvis was so excited with that they both walked into his office.
