LOVE SO PASSION

CHAPTER 17

 
It's been a while since Sofia had spoken to Malvis. Just as she was thinking of him he pulls her into one of the empty offices but he had intentionally left it open slightly on purpose knowing that Elvis was coming towards that place. Best timing he pined her to the wall and kissed her firmly on the lips but unfortunately for him Elvis passed without looking at that direction.

Freeing her lips but still holding her he loved the look in her eyes and the effect his  kiss had on her, without hesitation she called out on him for missing out in action for a while,not calling,not asking how she's doing.
Stopping her mid words,he declares that she should marry him sooner than later.

Surprised and worried at the same time,she disentangles from his embrace and walks to the windows.

Not pleased with her response he walks to the position were she stood.." what's the problem",he asked feigning concern. "Don't  you want to be married to me anymore" he continued talking while rubbing her arms tenderly,calm she turns to him and relaxes.

"I really want to be married to you,but that's too soon,.. cutting her off he adds,"is it because of your family or Elvis",he asked releasing a bit of irritation.

Guaging her emotions because she has noticed the distance Elvis has been giving her,he has only been playing his role as a boss and "brother"... although her own irritation has been the hush,hush and cryptic way the family has been behaving anytime they were talking about this Martha.

But her worries now are how soon her wedding is and she doesn't know how they will take it in.

Swallowing annoyance,he looks into her eyes and tells her how much he wants to be married to her,and assures her that he will meet her family soon if that's what will quell her worries.

Not allowing her speak further he embraces her..that's was when she suddenly pushes him away with a bewildered look on face staring at the door.

It was Elvis, looking every inch a boss but then the look he directed towards Malvis wasn't one of jealousy or  hatred but one of suspicion.

But he was trying his very best to cover it up.

He had earlier yesterday spoken to someone on the phone,someone well vast in all that happens in the four walls of the prisons. The informant told him that Malvis was released on bail way back then roughly one year of his jail term.

Furthermore he said Malvis was involved in an accident which the informant is not sure of if it was after or before his release on bail,and he didn't know what sort of accident.

Elvis wouldn't want anything of the past to resurface not when his dearest friend is returning home after such a long time and not when he will not be seeing the love of his life so much as he would try as much as possible to keep a distance from her no matter how much it kills him.

Although he has seen Malvis pull Sofia into this office he had purposely ignored their existence in the room and moved into his office. That was when his mother called to inform him of  some visitors coming over for dinner the next night she had told him to inform Sofia so she could prepare to be at home on time to aid in preparations of their arrival.

Delivering the message he leaves,but Malvis noticed the far away look Sofia casted at Elvis retreating shadow.

Leading her out of the office he promised to call Dr. Elijah to have a discussion concerning the declaration he had made.Smiling a little she nodded leaving him at the corridor.

Not comfortable to get back into the office knowing fully well that Elvis was in the office she was determined to question his distant attitude towards her.

Approaching his office she overheard him talking with someone on the phone she guessed but what stopped her from entering was a lady's laughter. 

Because the door was slightly ajar she could see the glimpse of the screen,it was a video call." You look beautiful", was what she heard him say to the lady; once more she felt strangely jealous. It was just once he had told her that and here he was saying it to another.

Trying to surpress those feelings,she didn't notice the co-worker who had come to deliver a message that was when she had no choice but to leave,but as she turned she meets Elvis gaze steady and having emotions she couldn't fathom. Shy she removed her eyes and walks way back to her office.

        
It's the next day and it's already two o'clock,that was the stimulated time Sofia had to go home to aid the household staff.

Malvis came to pick her up and he also got her a dress which he asked her to wear,he was about telling her the response he got from Elijah when Elvis approached them,in order to add salt to injury. He went straight to where his car was parked, while holding  Sofia and the gift he got her.

"Your father has requested I come over to the house whenever am free to discuss the request I made to you," he said whilst smiling mischievously.

Surprised, that Malvis had earlier approached Elvis and requested for a quick wedding ceremony she felt embarassed and wondered what thoughts had crossed his mind.

Whether he had imagined her desperate to marry or maybe she is already in the family way,pushing those thoughts away.

She looks at the both men talk,Elvis had a calm but unreadable expression on his face while Malvis had a satisfactory,imposing but smiling expression. "It's okay,you can come whenever you are ready it's fine.

Moreover we are soon going to be family",Elvis concluded while directing his gaze to Sofia.

He looked so handsome despite how unreadable his face was but calm still,her heart skipped a bit at that gesture. "See you at home Sofia," he said while getting into the car and driving off.

She didn't notice that Malvis had been looking at them both and noticed the slight blush on her cheeks and the way she had looked on at the moving car.

         

6:00pm- Charlotte was so excited and happy. She had succeeded in keeping her entire family in the dark about Martha's visit. And today her son will see his dearest friend again.

She has always teased them right from childhood that they will be spouses one day but that only embarrassed her darling son and made him throw tantrums which she always found amusing later on she found out from Agatha, Martha's mother that their dear daughter had a huge crush on Elvis...long story short they grew up to be best and dearest of friends. Elvis stood by her throughout the dark times of her life until her family left with her to London.

But that's all in the past now,already Malvis had come in earlier and was discussing with her husband. He wanted the wedding earlier and in a simple but memorable way and Sofia's opinion was sorted,her accepting and agreeing to it they gave their full support and blessings.

Not long after the dinning had been set,the doorbell rung. One of the staff was quicker than her to open the door and there at the threshold stood the couple they have been waiting for.
Already everyone had stepped into the living room to see who the visitors were.

Dr. Elijah was surprised,Elvis was much more surprised and happy going quickly to embrace her and shake her husband's hand too in a familiar way.

Sofia was surprised too,and she felt strangely glad that the lady who looked familiar to the one she saw on his screen the other day was married and pregnant to a man who held her firmly and lovingly.

But Malvis couldn't take it anymore,his ex was here already.
