It was about three in the morning when she heard it, a car alarm went off down the street and Cordelia had awoken because of it. Rubbing her eyes to adjust to the dim light that shone through the room and illuminated corners, she sat up slowly to try and avoid waking Willow. However, despite her efforts she heard Willow shuffle under the sheets beside her, moving her head to check the time and see why Cordelia was awake at such time. "It's not morning yet, love. Go back to sleep" Cordelia whispered and kissed Willow's cheek. Willow nodded sleepily and fell back asleep, but this time curled up slightly and leaning against Cordelia's knee since she was sitting crossed legged by the pillows.

Cordelia knew she wouldn't be able to go back to sleep now and so leant back against the headboard of Willows bed and gently stroked the younger witches hair, twirling it in her fingers and braiding the ends of it.

She couldn't help but imagine spending the rest of her life like this. Cordelia cared for Willow so much she couldn't quite put it into words. It's the small things she did that mattered, how Willow's voice would get so fast when she was talking about something she loved, one time when Cordelia and Willow were talking after a lesson Willow said she had noticed the little doodles in the corners of textbooks and how it reminded her of when her sister use to leave little pictures in Willows notebook when she was a kid, and while Willow stood there with her arms flung around and talking as fast as possible, like there wasn't enough time in the world, anyone else would have probably walked away or gave her side eye for getting so excited for such a little thing, but Cordelia couldn't pull her eyes off of her, smiling almost uncontrollably at Willow.

Cordelia looked at the time, it was four thirty in the morning, was she really zoned out for that long? Apparently so. She gently moved Willow's head off her lap and onto her pillow, kissing her forehead gently and then getting out of the bed to go get some hot chocolate and read downstairs till morning since she would normally get up in about three hours anyway.

Making her way downstairs, Cordelia tip toed down the grand staircase and quietly ran to the kitchen. "Where are you?" Cordelia whispered angrily to herself as she stumbled around the cupboards, trying to find her mug that she always drunk out of. Sighing, she finally grabbed her mug, which she found was at the very back of the cupboard. She placed it down on the counter and put on the kettle, then ran across the room and switched the light on, so she wouldn't end up burning herself on the boiling water. However, making the hot chocolate was delayed when a big hairy spider decided to crawl out of the top of the mug and take a seat on the brim, looking (supposedly) up at Cordelia.

Willow woke up suddenly to a loud scream, Cordelia's scream. Adrenaline rushing through her body, she ripped the covers off her and ran across her room and out of the door, finding Zoe, Nan and Madison outside in the corridor as well, she guessed for the same reason. The three witches (Willow ahead of them of course) sprinted down the hallway and skidded around the corner and down the stairs, making their way to the kitchen and finding Cordelia perching on the island table and her eyes glued to a mug on the side. "Dee what's wrong, are you hurt?" Willow rushed to her side, "Spider" she whispered back and pointed to the mug, "There was a spider and, and then it jumped and so i jumped and now i can't find the spider" Cordelia whispered, gripping slightly to Willows pj top. "You have got to be kidding me, our leader, afraid of a fucking spider" Madison laughed and made her way back upstairs, Zoe smiled apologetically and followed after her, Nan as well.

"So, a spider huh?" Willow smiled, hiding her laugh, "Lets see if we can find the little guy." After looking around for about ten minutes, Willow found the spider, it was about the size of a bottle lid and to be honest looked kind of cute, she let it crawl onto her hand, "Get that evil thing out of my home" Cordelia whispered angrily, still sitting cross legged on the counter. Willow laughed and walked over to the door and out into the front porch, letting the small creature crawl onto the ledge. She ran back inside and shut and relocked the door before walking back over to the kitchen and back to Cordelia, who was now sitting a little more relaxed with her legs hanging off the side.

Willow smirked and walked over to Cordelia, standing in front of her and her hands resting on her knees, "you are unbelievable" Willow said and began to laugh, much to Cordelia's dislike, she playfully hit the younger witches shoulders until she stopped laughing and looked back up to Cordelia's face. "It was a big spider!" Cordelia exclaimed, trying to justify her excuse for the outburst. "It was not a big spider Dee" Willow smirked again and pushed Cordelia's knees apart, standing between them and hugging her waist. "Now, I am still tired and would like my beauty sleep, care to join me?" She asked, looking up at Cordelia. "Mhmm, ok. Only because I don't want to stay down here in case that spiders little friends come and attack me" She replied and kissed Willow softly, "Not that you need your beauty sleep anyway, you're pretty enough"

"Oh stop being such a flirt and get down, i'm tired" Willow laughed, dragging out the last word, she pulled Cordelia down by her waist and pressed her body against the counter, stealing a kiss or two before the pair went back upstairs to sleep.
