The gravel pavement crumbled underneath Willows trainers as she cautiously walked up to the academy, her parents practically dragged her there after watching as the house they all lived in flew up in flames. She looked up at the mansion that stood before her, taking in all its beauty. Built out of white marble, the house wore vines from the roof that swung down across the top floor windows, shading it from the outside. Towards the sides stood huge bushes and greenery around the front and back garden, only split in the center to allow a large iron gate to be placed.Willow pushed open the bars of metal protecting the house with struggle and continued her walk into the mysterious building, she walked up the stairs and placed her two suitcases she carried full of her belongings onto the floor to allow herself to ring the doorbell on her left. She waited patiently for a few seconds before a girl opened the door. She looked around the same age as Willow who herself was only twenty two. The girl wore a loose fitted dress that flowed to just above her knees, it was a dark shade of grey and had a little belt wrapped around the middle, showing off the wearers waist, the girl had straight light brown hair which elegantly grew to her elbows, she was slim and tall, and wore a nice smile on her bare and pale face. "Hi, i'm Zoe. you must be the new girl we're getting today, come inside and i'll take you to Miss Cordelia's office, don't worry about your bags someone will come take them up to your room for you" she spoke sweetly and calmly.
Willow and Zoe walked across to the grand staircase that stood in the center of the house, which was all white inside as well. They travelled up the stairs and made their way to the left wing and continued to walk down a long corridor to reach a door that stood at the end. Zoe knocked on the door to alert Miss cordelia that they were there. "Come in!" a soft voice chirped from inside the room. Zoe opened the door and told Miss Cordelia that Willow had arrived, Zoe then gently guided Willow inside the room to which was decorated with pictures of flowers and herbs on the walls, and towards the right of the room a black leather sofa was placed at an angle, facing towards a large window and a desk. Willow stood starstruck as she saw Miss Cordelia. She had a pale complexion and wore only mascara and a little lipgloss to present her lips with a shimmer, her blonde wavy hair hung to below her shoulders. Miss Cordelia wore a cream coloured blouse with white pearls and a black cardigan, as she stood up Willow could see the outfit was completed with black flowy trousers and heels. "You must be Willow, I'm Miss Cordelia, the head mistress of this academy and i will also be teaching you most of your classes as you are in the older part of the academy and not the school part, which is good, it means we will get to know each other quite quickly don't you think?" She spoke with a relaxing voice, but it also showed power to alert anyone or may try to challenge her that under the sweet and kind personality a strong intelligent witch stood and could quite easily win any battle which was thrown her way.
Willow nodded and smiled as Miss Cordelia led her out of the office and across to the otherside of the large house, "this is where all the rooms are, don't worry we don't have a strict curfew or anything since it is only the older girls who stay, meaning as long as you don't manage to get yourselves in any trouble or disturb the others, you can come home at any time you please, but no exceptions for hangovers in the morning if you choose to visit the little bar near to us" She joked as the two kept walking past dozens of rooms, most with which were occupied with two girls or more chatting or doing homework by the looks of it. "Is there a bar nearby then?" Willow asked quietly, being careful not to speak to loud as if she thought something bad was to happen if she raised her voice any louder, "yes, I could show you one time if you like, most nights you will find some of our girls in there, its a normal hangout spot for them, I join them sometimes but i don't like to intrude, most of them just view me as their teacher." Miss Cordelia explained, a hint of sadness in her voice towards the end, Willow felt bad for her, a frown tugged at the corners of her lips as she realised that Miss Cordelia was seen as nothing more than a teacher to the others.
The pair stopped abruptly and Miss Cordelia opened a door which led to a room slightly smaller than the rest, a bed was in the middle of the back wall with Willows bags on, a wardrobe was pushed against the left wall and next to it stood a door leading to a small bathroom. "As you're more of the quiet type i thought you might like a room of your own Willow, I have to go return to my office so I can complete some paperwork but if you need anything at anytime my room is the one opposite yours, don't be afraid to come say hi if you feel lonely as well. I know what it's like when you don't fit in with the rest of the group, and you seem to be the type of girl that prefers to be with her own company." Miss Cordelia smiled and walked out of the room, gently shutting the door behind her. "Woah" Said Willow, smirking to herself, "I think i'm going to like it here after all."
