"Where were you two? I've been looking for you" Zoe asked when Cordelia and Willow walked back through the gates of the academy. "We went through the woods, just on a little walk since you all were busy, I suppose we lost track of time. That's all" Willow shrugged, they made their way back into the mansion and found Zoe and Nan had already eaten dinner and Madison was yet to come back from her boyfriend. "Nice of you to make us something," Cordelia spoke sarcastically as she walked through to the kitchen and noticed that no leftovers have been spared for them. "Well we didn't know if or when you two would be back from your walk" Zoe smirked to herself before walking out, suggesting the pair to go get takeaway or something.

"Your car or mine?" Cordelia asked as they stepped down into the drive, the two witches decided to take Zoe's advice and go get a takeaway, "Shall we use mine? I haven't driven in forever" Willow said. They agreed and walked down towards Willows car, a deep blue land rover sport, given to her by her parents for her 18th birthday and she'd had it ever since. Willow slid into the driver's seat while Cordelia sat in the passengers.

"It's kind of hot in here, do you mind if I roll down the windows a bit?" Willow asked as they sped down the highway, "Not at all" Cordelia replied, smiling back at the young witch. As Willow rolled down the windows, cold air flew through it, she laughed as her dark hair danced through the wind, her face lighting up with joy. Cordelia smiled at the sight of her friend happy, she felt almost mesmerized by her beautiful aura, the way she stuck her tongue out slightly when reading a good book, or the sound of her laugh and how it filled the space she was in, her incredible sense of humor would cheer Cordelia up in any situation, and how Willow would know just when to use that humor, or if Cordelia just needed a shoulder to cry on. She didn't even know where this was coming from, she had always only been interested in men before, never a woman. Was this even allowed in the coven? Cordelia thought to herself. More importantly, did Willow even like her back?

"Cordelia did you hear anything I just said?" Willow giggled as she pulled into the car park of the little burger place that they decided on. Coming back from her daydream, Cordelia had realized that her newfound crush had been talking to her the whole drive, while she was staring like a silly schoolgirl. "No sorry, I must have been daydreaming" Cordelia blushed, looking away from Willow. "Well, I was just saying how nice it was to have some alone time in the woods today, and I had wanted to ask you something," Willow trailed on but hesitated before speaking again, "Never mind, it's childish really, it doesn't matter" She smiled. "No go on, tell me" Cordelia encouraged her, touching the young witches hand which was placed on her lap. Confused at the gesture, Willow looked down at Cordelia's hand and just looked back at her plainly. "Sorry, i- um should we go get the food?" Cordelia stuttered, slightly disappointed, she took the look on Willows face as she wasn't interested, little did she know the young witch had begun her own little crush on Cordelia.

"Thank you for driving us there" Cordelia said stepping out of the car, they had eaten in the takeaway and driven home just the same, however now the conversation had been much more universal, talking about how the weather was unusually hot for this time in the year, seeing it was November and you could still go out without a coat easily. Cordelia had decided that the best way to get rid of her feelings for Willow was to distance herself from her as much as possible, only speaking to her when she has too, like in classes she teaches or such, at least until she can keep these one sided feelings under control. "Do you want to go to my room to hang out a bit, all the others are probably asleep and I wondered if you wanted to come watch a movie with me" Willow asked, walking up the stairs, "I think i'm just going to head to bed actually, i'm pretty tired" Cordelia replied, she knew deep down she wanted to go to the room and spend more time with Willow, but she knew if this crush grew then it would be the end of their friendship, so if that means pushing her away for awhile then maybe that is what she needs to do. "Oh ok. I'll see you tomorrow?" Willow asked, slightly disappointed that Cordelia didn't want to spend time with her. "Its Monday tomorrow so you have classes and i think i'm teaching a couple lessons anyway, so ill probably be too busy, sorry" Cordelia said plainly and walked to her room. "Ok" Willow sighed and walked herself to her room.

She opened the door and pressed her back against it once it closed, sliding her slim figure down and held her legs in her arms, burying her delicate face into her knees as she quietly sobbed. The truth was, she had been attracted to Cordelia from the moment she saw her. How she elegantly walked through the academy, her confidence when she entered the room and how all eyes were on her when she spoke with her divine voice. Her soft blonde hair reaching just below her shoulders - often curled - complimented her complexion beautifully, adding to her comforting personality. It made her feel like you could trust her with anything, like she would hold you while you cried but would also defend you against anyone who may harm you. She was perfect.

"Oh my god pull yourself together" Willow laughed sadly to herself as she momentarily stopped crying, wiping her eyes, but before she could stop it more tears were falling down her flushed cheeks. She didn't even know why she was crying, Cordelia literally just said that she was tired and probably wouldnt see her tomorrow since she was doing her job. But Willow still felt like this was the beginning of the end for their friendship, normally someone wouldn't get this caught up over a short friendship like this, they had been friends for only about a week, but Willow felt like Cordelia was the only person who she could really trust, she felt like she truly cared about her, like she actually wanted to be her friend, not just because she felt bad that no one else spoke to her. The truth was Willow was bullied by her friends all through junior high, she was a bit chubby and had bad acne, and people started being two faced and just being plain mean to her, tripping her up in hallways, speaking behind her back and pulling pranks on her, it was normal at that point for Willow. High School was a bit better, but she just sat in the back of class and didn't speak, she didn't have any friends and just ignored anyone who tried to talk to her, she didn't need anyone else, she had herself.

Finally Willow had stood up and walked over to her mirror, grabbing some tissue on her way and sitting on the chair by it. She began to wipe away the tear stains and combed through her hair to make herself look a little more presentable. She removed the leftover makeup on her face and changed into her Pj's, which was a white tank top and some checkered bottoms. She went to the bathroom and brushed her teeth and splashed some water on her face, trying to calm the swelling in her eyes from the crying, although it was no help. She then went to her bed and climbed in, snuggling into the sheets and just praying that Cordelia and her would be ok.
