Unrequited Love

CH. 9

Taehyung can hear Jungkook and his parents talking outside. He decided to just eavesdrop on everything, he would be lying if he doesn't feel bad right now— and there are guts in him wanting to walk right there and save Jungkook's ass and the idea of Jungkook getting an arrange marriage kinda annoys him— like what would happen with the baby inside Jungkook's tummy?

And now— here he is standing in front of Jungkook's parents wearing the towel that was covering his lower part and meddling at Jungkook's life.

"Wait mom— this is a mis—" Taehyung looked at Jungkook. He pulled Jungkook closer to him grabbing him from his waist.

"Bun? I am sorry— I know you don't want to tell them yet— but yeah— I don't want you to get married to someone else. My heart won't take it." Taehyung said looking at Jungkook's eyes. Jungkook avoided those looks from Taehyung.

"Kim Taehyung the youngest CEO, the last time I checked I asked my secretary to set up my son to you but you declined every arrange marriage." Mr. Jeon muttered a fact.

"Oh— that? It is because I am already taken and Kookie here wants to keep it secret." Taehyung answered, he looked around.

"You forgot to get my pants, let's go back to my unit." Taehyung said to Jungkook... "hmm... I need kookie to help me change." Jungkook looked at Taehyung, blushing. Cute

"Awwe kookie no need to be embarrassed you've seen all of this." Taehyung said and smiled at Jungkook and Jungkook's cheeks become redder because of embarrassment.

"Excuse us my in laws— we'll be right back." Taehyung said and walk outside he looked at mr. and mrs. Jeon, still disappointed with Jungkook, but at the same time, he can observe that mr. Jeon is glad that it was him.

When they walk inside Taehyung's unit, Jungkook stepped back away from Taehyung.

"You shouldn't have done that— now they won't stop—" Jungkook answered.

"Isn't this is what you want? Like seconds ago you were begging for me to marry you." Taehyung answered and went inside his room to wear some clothes.

"Correction Kim, requited love." Jungkook answered and rolled his eyes.

"But I change my mind— I was about to face them tell the truth that I am pregnant and planning to live on my own." Jungkook answered. "Cause I don't want to be a burden to you or anyone else." Jungkook added.

Taehyung remained silent for a while. "I already said it just go with the flow— I don't want to marry you too. It is just I partly feel bad to you." He started. Jungkook sighed in disbelief, hearing Taehyung feeling bad because he is pregnant makes him want to castrate the older.

"You make it sound like I beg for this— but I am reminding you I didn't." Jungkook answered annoyed then left Taehyung's house.

"Mom, Dad— I am sorry about a while ago. But the truth here is I am pregnant—" Jungkook stopped for a while and looked at his parents looking so disappointed.

"And I am the father, that's why I want to marry him as soon as possible." Taehyung walks inside and sits next to Jungkook.

"Please let me marry your son." Taehyung said and begged in front of Jungkook's parents.

"Hyung! What the hell are you doing stand up there! You—"

"I don't know why I am doing this— but I want to protect you and make you realize that it is fine to follow yourself." Jungkook blinked his eyes why it sounds like Taehyung was confessing to him? "I know what I am doing to you right now is crossing the boundaries between us— but the baby inside you is my baby too. So let me marry you—" Taehyung said directly looking into Jungkook's eyes.

Jungkook is surprised— like yesterday Taehyung doesn't want to have the baby, take responsibility, and even marry him— but now Taehyung is taking the full responsibility? Is he bipolar?

"Looks like things between you and mr. Kim are not yet settled. We will cancel the grand celebration for you, and settle everything first." Mr. Jeon muttered.

"We are disappointed with what happened to you kook— but marrying mr. Kim is the best idea." Mrs. Jeon added then left the living room first— Jungkook doesn't want to cry— but he just can't stop himself from crying.

"I am sorry." Jungkook said between his sobs.

"I am sorry too— this is the best thing I can do for you." Taehyung muttered.

"But how come you changed your mind? Or you are planning to leave too after I give birth?" Jungkook asked.

"Shh... stop crying." Taehyung all can say and didn't notice that he was already hugging Jungkook. "Calm down now." Taehyung said and randomly making small circles at his back.

Jungkook hates to admit it but the way the older hugs him and calms him-- gives some butterfly in his stomach.

Jungkook fell asleep on Taehyung's arms, he was surprised that Taehyung let him sleep on his lap. He squint his eyes to adjust with the light from ceiling— Taehyung was sleeping too. He gulped— "you are so handsome." He muttered unconsciously and blinked his eyes while staring the older.

"Are you feeling better now?" Taehyung asked— quickly sit properly on the sofa and looked at Taehyung the older smiled at him.

"Aye— ah— yeah... thanks." Jungkook answered blushing hoping that Taehyung didn't hear him calling him handsome.

"If you are going to marry me— y—you will never had a chance with Jimin hyung... y—you can still do something to get him... y—you can confess— and w—who knows something would happen that will make his heart change." Jungkook muttered stuttering while playing with the hem of his shirt. Taehyung chuckled—

"I don't know what would happen between me and my best friend— but I guess taking care of you and the baby inside you is the best thing to do." Taehyung said smiling. "I am sorry— with my words back in the hospital that was rude of me..." Taehyung said looking at the younger's eyes cause Jungkook was now looking at him.

"If— if we will get divorce too d—don't make me fall in love with you—" Jungkook muttered blushing then left Taehyung alone in the living room.

"So you are the father of Jungkook's baby? And you didn't tell us? You even let him leave?" Hoseok asked annoyed but trying his best to calm and not to punch Taehyung. Jimin and Jeongyeon was just looking Taehyung—

"I admit I am disappointed with what happened— I mean you let him leave even if he is pregnant and you know that you are the father." Jimin started. "But I am glad that you are now taking responsibility." Jimin said smiling.

"How sure we are that you won't be hurting him?" Namjoon asked.

"I don't know what would happen to us after getting married— but I somehow want to help him raising the child." Taehyung answered.

Taehyung still likes his best friend— he was hoping that Jimin will show some jealousy or any hint of sadness because he is marrying Jungkook— but Jimin was happy and glad with his decision of taking responsibility of their soon to be child.
