LONG CHAPTER AHEAD
NO LIKE SERIOUSLY... WE'RE TALKING ALMOST TWICE THE LENGTH OF NORMAL (4000 words lmao... average is 2500)i also need to say that i NEVER randomly switch to Japanese in my fanfics, as it really bothers me when people do that, but in this chapter i didn't know what to do because Y/N would refer to Oluo as Oluo-san if it were in Japanese, and Mister Oluo isn't right. There's a point where she needs to use his name, so i used oluo, but just pretend its a more accurate translation of oluo-san :)
oh and all future chapters will be longer than previous ones because i like them better that way :) oh and this chapter is kinda confusing because sm stuff happens, but i took a break from the action to add in the transformation troubles flashback (3000 probably)

"Captain Levi?" Eren said desperately. The short man had stayed silent for a while, not even looking back at the titan steadily getting closer. It was still smiling insanely like it was enjoying the chase.
"Captain!" Petra screamed.
"Give us your orders!" Gunther shouted, making me flinch.
Eld spoke up, too, "At this rate, it will catch up to us!" The Levi Squad were masters in killing titans--the best of the best, in fact. But without actually fighting, there was no way they could kill this titan. Why wouldn't Levi let us go after it? "We'll kill it here!" Eld continued, "That's why we came to this forest, right, Captain?!" I felt myself growing angry that he seemed to be much more worried about something else.
"Captain, your orders!" I shouted, shaking with fury and anxiousness that the titan was getting closer. Seemingly indifferent, he turned around halfway.
"Everyone," he said calmly, "cover your ears." We were silent as Levi lifted a smoke gun, cocked it, and held it to the sky. My hands flew to my ears and he pulled the trigger. No smoke came out, only a terribly loud bang. My ears rang with the horrible sound, making my head pound.
"A noise grenade?" Eren asked, lowering his hands as we rode through the trees.
"What is your job?" Levi asked the squad, "To just let yourself be swayed by whatever you're feeling at the moment?" I blinked. "No, it's not. Our squad's job is to keep the brat from getting a single scratch on him," he glanced at Eren, "Even if it costs our lives."
What? I thought our job was to watch him and make sure he didn't sabotage all of humanity? I thought my job was unnecessary, as Eren would never betray us, but had I misunderstood? If I'm here to keep Eren alive, that's a whole different story.... Alright, so be it. Eren will live. I'll make sure of it this time.
"We keep going on our horses," Captain Levi said, "Got it?"
"Roger!" Petra replied.
"Keep going?" Eren asked worriedly, "For how long?" He had a point... but surely we were going somewhere. Captain Levi had to have a plan--he'd shot that noise grenade with purpose. The titan had no need to hear anything, so he must've been signaling someone. "And it's right on top of us..." I looked back just in time to see more soldiers zip around the titan and felt my stomach twist. They wouldn't beat it, and there wasn't anything we could do to help them. "Again!" Eren called, "The reinforcements! If we don't help, they'll be wiped out again!"
"Eren, eyes on the road!" Gunther yelled behind us.
"Is there nothing we can do?" I had to shout back over the sound of the titan crashing through the trees. I felt sick knowing that if I abandoned the group and Eren, I could save those people, but I was choosing Eren.
