"This is the quickest way", He grunted as he started to pull

And I screamed as pain ripped throughout my body. The feeling of my spine separating from my back being the worst.

Kaneki's POV

It only took a few moments to rip me loose, but even now as Sebastian holds my limp body in his arms, I'm still grunting/shrieking, trying not to cry.

"I see your regenerative ability does not work in here", Sebastian stated with a blank face

I stifle my loud cries of pain as much as possible since I could not even think of a proper response. The only thing my brain was focused on was the pain.

"They haven't been working the best outside of my head either if you haven't noticed", I strained out

Sebastian knelt down on one knee and sat me on the floor, helping me sit up by supporting my back with his left arm.

"Hm? So you can speak.", Sebastian said, "I wasn't too sure. And yes, I am aware but I wasn't sure just how much of a mental toll starving would have on you. It has been quite interesting to observe."

I was too tired and in too much pain to even retort. So I just laid there doing my best to look angry.

"I doubt you'd be able to wake yourself in your current state so I will."

"If there was ever a situation where I would need to force myself awake how would i do it?"

He looked at me quizzically.

"Any questions you have can be answered in the waking world. When you come to, do your best not to move around."

"That would make it easier for him to get here right?", I asked confused and winced in pain

"Do as I say and stay still when you wake", He said menacingly

He dipped his head down a bit and had his eyes shut as though he was in deep concentration. I said nothing, as i didn't want to interrupt, and he suddenly commanded that I "wake up".

3rd Person POV

Sebastian opened his eyes after Kaneki had departured and looked at the tattered bits of his gloves, and the burned flesh of his hands and clicked his tongue.

'At least my real gloves are fine', he thought

He took off what used to be his gloves and tucked them in his pocket. He sighed and stood up looking back at his hands and noticing that, they too, were not healing.

Sebastian sighed and held up his hand as if to give a small wave.

"Care to explain?" He called out to the darkness with an irritated smirk on his face

"So you did notice I was here" He said emerging from the shadows

"You may be able to hide your smell, but your presence is quite ominous."

"Ah", He said with a deep chuckle, "Should've known"

"If there's a reason for what you're doing I'm sure I would have found it by now." Sebastian stated, "What's the point of this?"

"The point of this?", He said, making a face as if he were offended

"He almost lost his leg. Even with his regeneration it will take a while for it to heal. I originally thought we'd have to amputate."

"It's fun. Isn't that obvious?", He said, "Why mess with anyone from this world when I can take someone from a different dimension?"

"Why waste your powers like that?"

He scoffed.

"Waste? No, it would be a waste not to use them", He continued, "I have the rare ability to cross dimensions and you want me to use it, for what? Good? How drab is that", and he scoffed again

"I would merely appreciate it if you would leave our newest servant alone." Sebastian said, "You are also causing my master a bit of trouble, and we just can't have that.", he finished with a smile

'He was mine to torment first, demon.' he thought

"Then I suggest you do something about that, dog ", He hissed

Sebastian frowned

"Thank you sir. I think I will"

I'm so sorry i wanted to at least have another chapter out before the end of this month so here you go. It's not as long as usual but i have an actually valid excuse.

I had to write a 2 page research paper (was gonna be 4 before covid ) about fairytales. I had to pick a fairy tale and write about it and i chose Goldilocks. Did you know that the original "goldilocks" was actually a fox named "Scrapefoot"? I can post the paper if y'all would like to see it. It ended up being a full 3 pages long. Was kinda hoping I would write a little more than that to show off.

Oh yeah, but the point i was trying to get to was that this was worth 3 test grades and i would have failed the 12th grade if i did not do it/do it good. So that's my excuse. and my great grandmother has been in and out of the hospital 3 times in the past month and i just found out today that she maybe has 2 months left to live. so yeah.
