To the Manor

Kaneki's POV

I watched the door open to reveal a man with dark hair and Butler's attire.

'Oh god, that's the man from yesterday.' I thought as a look of disappointment washed over my face.

He walked in and closed the door behind him.

"Oh, well I see that you're finally awake. Please do put the eye patch on that I provided you on your nightstand."

My eyes went wide and a look of sheer panic washed over my face as I slammed my hand over my eye and snatched the eye patch from my nightstand.

"Had someone else entered the room you would have been in quite the pinch." He said with a smirk

'God I just wanna slap it right off of his damn face too.'

"What's your name? Shouldn't that have been the first thing to come out of your mouth?" I sneered

He glanced at me before turning his gaze to the window over the stand.

"I suppose your right. T'was just friendly chatter"

I glared up at him menacingly.

"Friendly chatter my ass." I mumbled under my breath

His smirked widened before he started talking again.

"My name is Sebastian. You will be working along side me and the other servants, whom i'll introduce you to later." He grinned, "I'll be the main one to show you the ropes and get you prepared to be a suitable servant that the master wouldn't be embarrassed of. He has enough of that already."

After that remark he looked my way and continued on, saying,

"I have prepared a few uniforms for you in your closet, any of them should do. Though you are a bit scrawny, i might end up having to take off some of the material..." He trailed off beginning to get lost in thought until i cleared my throat in an annoyed manor.

His eyes slightly widen and then go back to normal as he realizes he was off track.

"I do beg your pardon, but I have chores of my own that I need to get back to."

He took a bow and left. Leaving me here thinking about whether or not I should leave. It's an obvious no, but I still feel the urge. I know nothing about this land and how to get around though.

'Well I guess that's it then', I thought.

'I'm staying'

It's currently around 5 or 6 o'clock in the afternoon. I'm putting on a uniform similar to what Sebastian was wearing.

I'm getting ready to go up to the master's head quarters, Sebastian told me that he'd like to have a word with me about my staying here in the mansion.

It's only fair. He did invite a complete stranger into his master's house, and I am truly grateful, but it would've been safer for me to find somewhere more secluded. Away from humans.

But it is what it is. I have no say in the matter. I just wanna get back home where I belong. A war is breaking out between the ghouls and the humans and I need to be there. No, I have to be there and lend my assistance.

I stand in front of my long mirror hanging on the wall and tug the inside flaps of my black suit coat and smooth it out. I secure my eye patch and take another look at myself in the mirror.

I put a small gentle smile on my face and walk out of my room. Before I could even close the door all the way someone ran into me hard enough to knock me down.

We hit the ground with a thud, and I lay on my back with the person on top of me.

"Oww, watch where you're going!"

My breath hitches, and I suddenly feel like I can't breathe. This voice shouldn't be here, I shouldn't be able to hear them. Yet I can. I hurry and sit up to look at the person laying on me with wide eyes.

"Touka . . . . . . ?"
