(recap of last chapter)
I open my eyes and wipe away the tears I didn't realize I had even cried. And then...
I wiped away the drool(End recap)
"So", Ciel began, "What the hell happened"
I looked down into my lap at my hands, and not knowing what to do with them I just intertwined my fingers.
"There was..... something.", I said glancing up a little, not wanting to try and recall it.
Ciel sighed and fixed me with a stern look.
"We already know there was something or you wouldn't have screamed like a dying bird. What was the something", Ciel demanded
'To be completely honest, I'm not really sure.' I thought to myself
Ciel sat there waiting expectantly and seeming to lose his patience.
"I don't know...."
"Was there an intruder by any chance?", Sebastian inquisitions, "Or something you may have seen before you screamed? Surely you wouldn't have yelled like that for no reason."
I looked up at him, and not wanting to hold eye contact any longer I looked down once more at my hands.
"It was actually after I passed out."
"What do you mean after you passed out?" Ciel questioned
"The intruder was in my head", I began, "It was like I was in a dark space inside of my own consciousness. We exchanged words, but I honestly don't remember much."
I stopped for a moment before continuing.
"The only thing that I remember clearly is the way he made me feel. The difference in our strength was devastating."
"Sebastian"
"Yes, my lord?"
"Have you ever heard of anything like this before?" Ciel asked
"I'm afraid not. Though it does sound rather interesting. I've never heard of a being that could accomplish that.", Sebastian said with a smile, "So I doubt they were actually in your head, Mr Kaneki."
After saying such Sebastian had a small grin on his face and looked directly at me.
'Bastard', I thought
"So you think I'm lying?", I asked with a bit of malice in my voice.
"Of course not, but they were not in your head, not physically anyway."
"And what do you mean by that, Sebastian?" Ciel asked
"Well there are a few of us who are able to enter into a person's subconsciousness. In order to do so we must be sitting or lying down as still as possible."
"And how do you know for sure?", Kaneki asked
"I know because of you. They were forcing a connection while you were in bed. You suffered severe nausea and migraines because you started moving around too much and even tried to stand up. The same rules apply to your target. Most will target people while they are sleeping"
"How interesting", Ciel said, "Is there anything else we need to know?"
"Well, my lord, I am certain you have never experienced this, but once a demon, or another dark entity, enters your subconsciousness it will try to take your soul. Sleeping is the closest a human can get to dying without actually doing so, which is also why it is the best time to harvest. If you have ever jolted awake breathing hard in the middle of the night, it was most likely a failed attempt at taking your soul.", Sebastian said.
"Why are you so sure it hasn't happened to me." Ciel said with a smirk.
"We have a contract, so most demons would not dare mess with you. But if one does I am able to tell, and I will kill them promptly."
I think I'm going to shift the conversation back to the previous topic, I'd rather not talk about this anymore considering it's happened to me many times.
"Well if you give me a pen and some paper I'd be able to sort my thoughts out more clearly.", I said clearing my throat, "And Sebastian? I would appreciate it if you'd bring me a cup of black coffee, if you have any. It'll help with my hunger."
"Yes, I do remember you mentioning that. I shall prepare some as soon as possible."

They finally left and I wrote down everything I remembered, which wasn't much.
I also took a few minutes to just enjoy the silence in my room and allowed myself to relax.
I grabbed my coffee and inhaled the smooth aroma before taking a sip. Sebastian had left only moments ago after bringing it to me.
My stomach gurgled suddenly, interrupting my otherwise silent room.
I sighed.
'I won't last much longer', I thought, 'I need to find something to eat.'
But weirdly my hunger isn't developing as quickly as usual. Maybe it has something to do with being in a different world?
I shook my head. I need to focus, I can think about these things later. I'll get home. I promise. . . . .

I'm so sorry!
I didn't want to make you wait any longer so I decided to go on and post this despite it being kinda short. I'll just try to make the next chapter/s longer. And sorry about this one being so boring.
