Clarke POV

The march to Mount Weather was smooth. As we approached I can't help but to worry about the acid fog. Did Bellamy succeed? Or will we all die painful deaths? I have to keep reminding myself that he did manage to shut it off and that everything will go as planned. We will win today. Lexa's and my people will make it out alive.

I glance over at Lexa. Seeing her in her full armor is stunning. She is beautiful but also fearsome. She can strike fear into her enemies with only a look. Plus her people respect her. Whether it's because of who she is or tradition her people are willing to follow her to their deaths if need be.

I, however, do not have that ability and hope I never will. I, sometimes, wonder how I got here. One day I am on the Ark drawing about the ground and the next I am on the ground leading people to a war.

I push all my thoughts aside when I see the door into Mount Weather. Indra and Octavia should already be in the reaper tunnels and Raven will, hopefully, have the dam destroyed soon. Everything must go according to plan.

I look at Lexa to see her turning around to her men. She draws her sword out and lifts it to the sky yelling, "Jus drein jus daun." The men quickly yell it back. It becomes a chant while we wait.

Moments later, gunfire echoes across as men appear on the ridge above the door. Rushing to hide behind cover, I crouch down near Lexa.

"We have to deal with them." I unholster my gun. She puts her hand on mine. "I will take care of them. You must get the door open."

Lexa rushes off with Gustus and more men. The go around some rocks and disappear above. I know Lexa can handle herself but I can't help but to worry. I want to rush off with her but I know I must focus on my job. I look over to a men ducked behind a rock to my right. They need to get everything prepared so we can open the door. Once the gunfire stops raining down on us I yell "now!" They rush to the door and begin to place the explosives.

Now to wait for Raven. I watch the small green light by the door and try to listen for an explosion. I still hear fighting and gunfire from the ridge above. Come on, Raven. What's taking so long. I begin to worry as more time passes. It feels like an eternity waiting.

Finally, I hear a loud explosion echo through the mountain. The green light flickers off. I press the detonator and watch the small explosion on the door. "Open the door!" I yell as men run to pull the large door open. The door creeps open. I prepare myself for the rush inside. I expect guards to be defending the entrance. I am so focused on the next step that I didn't notice the fighting sounds stopped from above.

"Charge!" I yell once I notice the door is open enough. Men begin to rush inside and gunfire echoes from inside. I begin to enter when I notice Lexa isn't around. I don't hear the fighting from above. I hesitate to enter. Do I go check the ridge or do I continue into the mountain?

I sigh to myself turn around. I have to know she is okay. I began to head around to where the path is. "Clarke!" I hear her voice sing out my name. I see her coming down the side with some of her men. She is covered in blood and there is less men returning with her.

"What are you doing? You should be inside by now." Her voice is harsh but I can see the worry and pain in her eyes.

"The door is open. I wanted to check on you." I hear her sigh at my response. I also notice Gustus isn't with her. "Where is Gustus?"

"His fight is over. Come, we need to finish this." She heads to the door with the rest of her men. I follow behind. What happened on the ridge? I push the thought aside and follow her inside. I will make sure to care for her after the battle.
