Clarke POV
Opening my eyes were hard. The light was bright and I felt groggy. What happened? Anya and I were riding along towards the Dropship when all of the sudden there was smoke.
I looked around the bright, white room. An IV was in my arm and I snatched it out. I put pressure on my vein and walked over to the door. I could see into another room. It was empty. I started to look along the hallway when I saw it. A Mount Weather sign. Panic rushed over me.
I examined the room. There wasn't much. The bed, an iv pole, a toilet and sink were bare and sterile white. I noticed a camera above the door. Ok, Clarke. What can I use to escape?
I grabbed the IV pole and smashed it in the window of the door. I reached through and unlocked the door. As I was reaching back I cut myself on my arm. It's not deep enough to cause any real damage. I grabbed a sharp shard of glass. I rushed out the door, down the hallway. I paused to look which way to go. I see what looks like an elevator.
As the doors open there is a young girl with dark brown hair flowing down her shoulders and light brown eyes. When she raised her head and noticed me, I grabbed her and head the glass to her neck.
"Who are you people? How many of us are here? Where are they? Answer me."
"I don't know. Please don't hurt me." Panic filled her voice.
"Take me to them!" I shouted and pressed the glass to her neck. Blood started to run down.
"Okay." She reached and hit level 5.
As the door open and an automatic voice announced our arrive, I step out. I walked few steps forward and saw the mess hall. It was full of people eating, talking and laughing. I was shocked.
An older woman saw me and yelled, "Containment breach. Containment breach!"
Alarms starting going off and guards came running. Where the hell am I? A guard charges me and knocks me out.
------
I woke up in the same room. My arm was stitched up and an older man was sitting in a chair reading.
"Ah, Clarke. How are you?"
I stayed silent.
"Not much of a talker? Must of picked that up with the savages. O well, I have someone here to talk to you." He stands up and opens the door. The girl from earlier wants in. She had anger in her eyes.
"You were the next one to be cleared through quarantine. Another ten minutes and you would've..." The man clears his throat.
She sighs. "I'm not pressing charges."
"Thank you, Maya." She turns and leaves the room.
"Dante Wallace." He reaches his hand out. It was discolored by paint. "Oil paint. You're an artist, too. You're people told me a lot of you. You are their leader. We have a lot in common, Clarke." He smirked.
"How many have you captured?"
"Twenty-four. But you have it wrong. We saved you from those savages."
I did not like him. The grounders are not savages. They have helped me and the others many times.
"Get changed and we will continue our conversation." He wheeled in a cart with clothes. He then walked in the hallway.
I grabbed some pants and a long sleeve, white shirt. It was very basic. I noticed the high heels and broke off the heel of one. I tucked it in my sleeve.
------
After walking me through the halls and explaining Mount Weather to me, he brought me to level 5. When we entered a room, I was handed a packet with a map and more information about Mount Weather. I saw Jasper, Monty, Fox and more in the room.
"Clarke." Jasper hugged me.
"Hey. Are you okay?"
"Yeah. They have been treating us good so far."
I smiled.
------
It's been a day since I've been in Mount Weather. I had to get out and get back to Lexa. I saw Maya in the mess hall talking with Jasper. This is it, Clarke.
I walked over to them and set my package on Maya's books. "Maya right?"
She nodded. "I just want to say I'm sorry for yesterday. I was scared and I hope you can understand that." I smiled and grabbed my packet, making sure to pick up her key card.
I went to the elevator quickly and went to level 3. I could not find an exit on the map but I saw there was a room next to the medical room that was unmarked.
I quickly made it to that room and was shocked. It was a harvest room with cages filled with grounders. As I walked through the cages, I saw a familiar face.
"Anya. I'm going to get you out of here." I found a crowbar and and pry the lock open. I helped her out.
"We will come back for the others." I helped her up and saw a door not on the map. I helped Anya through it. It looked like another elevator but beat up. This has to be an exit. The doors closed and the floor opened up.
We landed on dead grounders. What the hell? I jumped out and Anya was behind me. "Come on we have to get dressed." I undressed a woman and got dressed. Anya did the same.
We ran through the tunnels when we started hearing yelling. I slowed down and looked down the tunnel.
"Reapers," Anya breathed while looking pass me. "Come on." She lead us down a different tunnel.
We started to hear guards yelling and a weird ringing sound. The footsteps caught up to us when we hit a dead in. It was a waterfall.
"Clarke, Stop." A man in a suit yelled out.
Anya does not hesitate. "This is the only way!" She jumped.
"We don't have to do this Clarke. Let us explain." I turned and jumped. Fuck.
