Clarke POV
"Clarke, it's been two days." Bellamy grabs my arm to stop me.
"You weren't there! You didn't hear his screams. We left him there alive." I yanked my arm from his grasp and continued to the gate where Finn is waiting for me.
After the incident with Jasper, Bellamy started getting the others to build a wall around the dropship. He wanted protection from the grounders.
"I'm coming with you"
"Octavia, no!"
"I'll be okay, Bellamy. I want to help find Jasper."Bellamy sighed, clearly upset about his sister's action. "You two keep her safe."
I nodded to him as we left the camp. It is early in the day and I don't plan to come back until we find him. I know he is still alive. He has to be.
"We can head back to the river. Maybe I missed something." Finn stated as he lead Octavia and me towards the river where it happened.
As we approach the river, I tense up. I try to listen to our surroundings and I am constantly glancing in the trees. I hope I am being paranoid and there are no grounders following us but I know that isn't the case.
We break the treeline and Finn begins to search for clues. The first day searching for Jasper, we came back here. We found a pool of his blood and a few footprints. However, the footprints disappeared when they came to the treeline. Whoever took Jasper did not want to be followed.
I kneeled down at the dried up pool of blood. It's not enough blood if he bled out and there is no blood trail. Someone had to stop the bleeding then moved him. This is why I know he is alive. I scanned the treeline. When I saw a shadow I quickly stood up and reached for my gun.
A fierce woman with sharp cheekbones and dark hair that faded into blonde stepped out of the trees. Finn and Octavia saw her and reached for their knives. Two males then stepped into sight. They seems to be guarding her. They had mask on so I couldn't see their face
"We are so screwed" Octavia said as she stepped near me.
The lady showed her hands as she approached. Her two guards stayed in the trees. They both had an arrow in their bows but they did not have them aimed at us. I decided we should do the same. I holstered my gun.
"Stay here." I started to walk to the lady. Finn and Octavia were clearly not okay with this but did not try to stop me.
"Ai laik Anya. Gona oso don fis op ste klir."
I furrowed my brows in confusion. "I don't understand you."
She paused and looked at me. She looked so stoic and it made me nervous. I tried not to let it show.
"You speak Gonasleng. I said I am Anya. We healed your warrior. I can take you to him but only you."
I did not like the idea of going alone with them but I wanted to save Jasper. "Okay. Let me tell the others." I turned around and walked back to Finn and Octavia.
"What's happening? Do they know where he is? Is he alive? Will they..."
"Octavia." I interrupted her. "They have him and healed him. She said I can go but only me."
"What? No! That isn't smart. What if it's a trap?" Finn tensed up and panic showed on his face.
"Its the only choice. I will be okay." I went back to Anya and nodded to her that I am ready.
I followed her into the woods. The gaurds stayed behind with Finn and Octavia. I guess to make sure they don't follow. Anya moved quick and silent through the trees. It made me feel bad because I seemed to step on every twig and leaf. I tried to focus on where I stepped and still keep up with her.
As I started to get the hang of being quiet, we came to an opening. It looked like a road. She lead me down the road towards a village. I was surprised by the look of it. There were buildings made of old stone that survived the nuclear bombs while others were made with scraps of metal. There was also a tent set up not too far into the village. A single guard was standing by the entrance. This is where Anya was leading me.
Anya stopped me at the entrance. She said something to the guard that I could not understand. She then enter the tent. After a moment, she opened the tent flaps so I could enter. As I stepped in and my eyes adjusted to the lighting, I saw a throne and a woman sitting in it. She looked young and beautiful. She had a sharp jawline, dark hair and beautiful emerald green eyes. Her face showed no emotion as she played with a dagger. I was in awe but also nervous.
"You are the leader of your people?" She asked as she looked up to make eye contact.
"Yes." That was all I could get out.
"I have one of your people. He is alive and recovering. We have some things to discuss before you can leave with him."
