Lexa POV

"Luna? What are you doing here?" I did not expect to see her, especially after last time.

"You called the clans to battle. Floukru has strong warriors and wise healers." She smirked at me. Clearly, she is avoiding my true question.

"Yes, but I know your people do not fight. So, what are you doing here?" I demanded.

She sighs. "Some of my people wanted to come and be healers. I refused, at first, but I knew I couldn't stop them, especially, Derrick."

"Derrick is here? I would like to meet him." I have hear about Derrick, Luna's love. He has helped her find a way to live a full life again.

"I...he is inside." She wanted to protest but instead she opened the tent for me to enter. I gave her a small smile and entered.

The tent is fairly empty. It is mostly healers inside. Only a few sick or wounded. We haven't had any real action, yet. Luna leads me towards the back. A few of her people are gathered. I can overhear them talking about their supply. They seemed worried about not having enough medicine for the fog's radiation.

"Derrick." Luna beckons a tall, strong man. He has long braided dark hair and scruffy facial hair. The tattoo on his forehead is unforgettable. I've seen this man before when searching for Luna.

When he approached us, he stopped and bowed his head to me. "Heda. It is an honor."

"Yes, it is. Derrick, am I right? I've heard things about you. Stories of how you and Luna have found peace." I believe in peace but not to the extent they do. We all have to fight. It is our way. The way we survive.

"We have found more than that." He looks at Luna with true love. I feel a slight pain in my chest. I am almost shocked by this feeling.

"Good. Last time I saw you, you were killing my warriors before that explosion."

"Lexa, times have changed since then. We were defending ourselves." Luna interjected. She was right. I was the attacker in that battle. I had to defend my right as Heda since she fled from the conclave.

"You are right. I was doing what I thought was right at the time. I see I was wrong. I want peace for our people. Hopefully, this will be the last war for a while." I know there is never a last war. There will always be conflict.

"Luna, we must talk later. For now, I must go." They both bow as I turned to leave. I am happy to see Luna. She is like a sister to me. However, having her here is not a good thing. She still has claim to the flame. I know she doesn't want it but it won't change the way my people will treat her, even though she disrespected the tradition.

I exit the tent. The sun is still high. I need to finish going to each clan general, however, I don't want to. I want to find Clarke and be with her for a moment. I take a deep breathe, straighten myself up and continue with my duties.

-----

I am in the war tent sitting on my throne. I play with my dagger thinking. Clarke should be back by now. I've sent
Ryder to search for her at Arcadia.

"Heda." I hear Luna's voice. She has entered the tent and bowed her head. I remembered I told her we needed to talk. I sighed.

"Luna, I know you do not want the flame, however, you are still a threat to me." I noticed her body tense as I was speaking. I continue, "I do not plan on hurting you. Peace has always been my goal and I believe we can find a way to find a way to not let this become a conflict between us."

She slightly relaxes. "I want to live peacefully with my clan. I had no plans of ever returning, especially no plans to claim the flame. I only came to help you with this war and only by being healers."

I smile. We continued talking about what will need to happen after the battle to continue peace between us. I do enjoy having her back but I have to protect myself and my Coalition.
