Lexa POV

"We have some things to discuss before you can leave with him. What is your name?"

"Clarke." We maintained eye contact. I can tell she is strong.

"Well, Clarke, your people are on Trikru territory. Why have you come?"

"We didnt know there were people here. We were sent to see if Earth was survivable."

"There are more in the sky? Will they come down as well?"

"Yes. The Ark, our ship, is dying. Hundreds of my people will die if they do not come down."

I thought about what she said. I do not understand what she means. How can a ship die? "Your ship is dying?" Clarke hesitated like she was debating what to say.

"Yes. The Ark's life support system is failing. This means that the system that produces oxygen for us to breathe is failing. Without it everyone will die."

I looked down at my dagger. I still did not fully understand her but it does not change the fact that there is more of her people coming. "If we establish an alliance, can you promise the others will agree when they come?"

"I can try. We don't have contact with them though. Monty, one of my people, is trying to build a way to contact them."

I dug my dagger into my throne while I thought about this. If the Sky People can agree to the alliance and prove useful, maybe they can help against the Mountain Men.

"Okay. I want you to stay here for now. No one will harm you while you are under my protection. A tent for you will be set up. Anya, bring the others to retrieve the boy."

Anya nodded and left the tent leaving Clarke and I alone. She is truly beautiful. I felt myself get nervous, a feeling I haven't felt since Costia and even then it was not this strong. I reminded myself love is weakness.

I stood up and walked past Clarke towards the tent entrance. I noticed she tensed as I neared her. I asked the guard outside for two plates of food. "Sit." I motioned towards the table and chairs to the side of the tent. We both sat down and it was not long for the guard to return with food. "I assume you have not ate yet."

Clarke hesitates before eating. The plate consists of dried meat and fresh berries. When she finally started to eat I heard her let out a slight moan. I noticed she ate like she is starving. "Do you not have this on your ship?"

"No. Our food is bland and is only enough nutrients for us to survive. The food we have collected down here is not as good as this either."

I watched her as she finished off her food while I have barely ate any of mine. I wanted to learn more about her people, to better understand her.

After I finished eating, I lead Clarke to the healer's tent. I opened the tent flaps for her for her to enter first.

"Jasper!" She ran over to him and began looking him over. As she checked his wound, Lincoln walked over to me.

"Heda, the boy is still healing. He is weak and we should not move him yet." He spoke in Trigedasleng.

"He is not ours to take care. His people want him back." I noticed Clarke glanced at us. She was curious about us but I could also tell she had a question. "What is it, Clarke?"

"What is in this medicine? His wound is healing well."

Lincoln approaches her. He reaches in his bad and hands her a small container. "It is a local seaweed we use. It helps prevent infections."

Lincoln and Clarke help Jasper up and I lead them to the gate. Anya and the others should be there soon. When we arrived, Anya was stepping out of the treeline with two others behind her. The boy ran up to Clarke and Jasper. His faces showed excitement and relief. The girl, however, showed more emotion. Her eyes were locked onto Lincoln. I noticed Lincoln took a sharp intake of breath.

"Take him back to the dropship." Clarke handed Jasper off to the boy. She then handed the container of medicine to him.

"Wait, are you not coming?"

"No. We need to establish peace."

He was not happy with Clarke's decision. "Come back to us alive, Princess."

"I want to stay here with you." The girl step forward showing her determination.

"No, Octavia. You need to go back and make sure Bellamy doesn't do anything stupid."

She opened her mouth to argue with Clarke but stopped. She nodded and took Lincoln's spot in holding up Jasper. The three walked back towards the trees. Lincoln turned to me. It was clear he wanted to go with them. I nodded knowing he would sneak off anyways.

"He cares for you." I looked at Clarke wanting to see her reaction.

"Finn?" She looked confused and I nodded. "No, it is not like that."

I did not fully believe her but it did not matter. I lead her back to my tent so we can continue our discussion in peace.
