A couple days later Meredith woke up in the morning and sat up, she felt terrible this morning but she didn't know why. Her head and stomach both hurt and she just brushed it off. None of her friends had stopped by yet but she didn't really care. She was going to stay in Seattle until she could figure out what her living situation in Boston was.

She was getting discharged today since everything looked fine. She couldn't wait to get home with Mia and get out of here. She walked into the restroom and put her hair up as she brushed her teeth and washed her face.

She went back into her room and waited for Bailey or an attending to come by and discharge her. Instead, Cristina came in and sat in the chair beside her bed as Meredith sat back down in her bed.

"What's going on?" Meredith asked as she saw the panic on Cristina's face

"You know the trauma surgeon, Dr. Hunt?"

"No"

"He's a veteran or something and he works here now."

"What does that have to do with-"

"We kissed, or he kissed me I don't know."

"And you're hiding from him?"

"Yes"

"I'm getting discharged today so you won't be able to hide from any trauma surgeons in here anymore" Meredith laughed

"Oh here he comes!" Cristina whispered as she ran into the restroom.

Owen walked into Meredith's room without looking up from his chart and walked in.

"Dr. Grey?"

"Yeah, that's me"

"Everything looks good so just sign these papers and you're good to go." Owen said as he placed the clipboard on Meredith's table and started to walk away.

"Oh um... have you seen Dr. Yang around here by any chance?" Owen asked before he walked out

"Uhhh... nope. I'll tell her you're looking for her when if I see her."

"Yeah, thanks"

Owen walked out and Meredith started signing her discharge papers. Cristina peeked her head out of the bathroom door and slowly walked out.

"Thank you" Cristina sighed as she left as well.

Meredith got up and started packing her things, she reached down for her shirt that she had dropped and had a sharp pain in her abdomen when she reached down for it. She held her stomach in pain and then grabbed her shirt after it went away, she changed out of her hospital gown and walked to the nurses station.

She checked out of the hospital and started to walk to the elevator. Before the elevator could close Derek held it open and stepped in. Meredith rolled her eyes to herself when he walked in, not wanting to see him at all.

"You're getting discharged?" Derek asked as he walked to the back of the elevator

"What's it look like?" Meredith asked in an annoyed tone

"I thought that we were-"

"What? Friends? We're not."

"Meredith-"

Meredith pushed the stop button on the elevator and turned around to face him. He looked shocked and scared for some reason.

"We are not friends, we are not anything. You apologized, that's it. I haven't forgiven you, I said you had to earn it and you haven't. Until you can prove that you mean it and you are sorry then maybe we can talk. But I don't think we're going to be friends anytime soon. Those 2 years I was wasting hope in thinking you'd call and apologize. It took you this long just to build up the courage to say you were sorry. You can tell me that you're sorry but I don't believe you, not like I did before." Meredith yelled as she turned back around and pressed the stop button again and got off.
