The sound of the doorbell makes Nari snap her head to her doorway. Her classes finished about half an hour ago, and she wasn't expecting any visitors.

She doesn't think her roommates do either, since they're both gone.

Nari makes her way to the door, looking out the peep hole. She lets out a small gasp, opening the door.

"Jacob?"

"Hi," he smiles at her.

"What brings you here?" she asks him, leading him inside.

"I was told that your roommates might be out for a while," he says, sitting down on the couch. "And I didn't want you being lonely."

Nari lets out a small laugh, giving him a small smile. "Thank you, I guess."

"You did it!"

Nari gasps. "I did?"

"Mhm," Jacob smiles at her. "Now play it again."

The smell of cookies start filling the room, but the two ignore it as Jacob is too busy teaching Nari how to play the guitar.

Nari faintly sighs when she gets a chord wrong. She messes up the chords again, making her let out an exasperated sigh.

"I can't do this," Nari dramatically says, carefully placing the guitar down.

The boy lets out a small laugh. "Yes, you can."
He scoots closer to her, "I'll help you."

The soft melody of the guitar fills the room. Jacob sits behind Nari, his arms around her as he strums the strings of the instrument.

Nari eyes soften when she hears the sound of the latter singing.

His angelic voice mixing with the soft tune he plays makes Nari feel warm inside. She felt calm, something she hasn't felt in a while.

She slowly leans back on Jacob's chest, closing her eyes. A faint smile on her lips.

Though when the aroma of cookies came to her, she gasps.

"The cookies!"

・・・

"They're still good for burnt cookies," Kevin says, taking another bite.

Nari lets out a small laugh. "Thanks, I guess."

"Where did Jacob go?" Juyeon asks, taking a cookie from the tray.

"Home," she responds. "I thought you guys weren't gonna come home tonight?"

"We were, but we convinced Lana to let us go home."

Nari lets out a small 'oh', slowly nodding her head.

That's why they were gone.
They probably enjoy being with her...

More than being with you
