[13] Happier Together

Chapter 13: Happier Together

[A/n: apologies for the mistake with the characters...Maisie should be played by Sabrina not her actual self oops.]

2 weeks before present time

Loren's P.O.V:

Ariel and I are sat across each other on my bed, playing Monopoly. She recently bought one since it was on sale and now we are basically stuck to playing it every day for at least 3 hours straight.

(And i have no idea how we aren't bored playing Monopoly although we look at the same board and cards everytime and it somehow excites us each time we bring the box out.)

This time though, she was overly excited then she usually is, which means she was indeed crazy at this point. To be honest, maybe even "crazy" isn't the most suitable word to use here.

"What's up with you today Tigger? You seem to be bouncing around the house today, literally." I laugh at her as she does her little dances.

"Tomorrow Blake's coming home! This time to stay. He won't be leaving anymore. Isn't that exciting?" She squeals in delight.

Oh Blakey. That boy that this girl is crazily obsessed and in love with. He hasn't been home in years and he is coming back to his safe haven at last.

I haven't talked to him in a while and indeed, I kinda miss him being around us and him being able to always make Ariel smile even during the toughest times.

As I recollect, Ariel whips out her phone and takes a selfie with both of us in it. She giggles and sends it to Blake with the caption on the photo:

"Cutie we both miss you tons! I want you to be here with me ASAP. I can't wait a second."

Urgh. So disgustingly cute and adorable. I hate them so much it makes me wanna cringe so hard.

"Awww who is so awfully in love with Mr Blake." I nudge her playfully and she blushes hot pink.

"Loren, why you gotta be like this huh?" She sighs and I smile foolishly.

"Ariel and Blakey sitting on the tree...what would they do next?" I tease.

"Stare into the beautiful sunset together. That's what we would do."

"K.I.S.S.I.N.G." I burst into laughter and deflated like a balloon. Her reaction was priceless.

"Loren!" She screams and chases after me with her fingers ready to attack me with those powerful tickles that I detest.

"You can't catch me!"

We chase each other in the tiny apartments, using every creak to our advantage to try and outrun each other. It was basically watching a Tom and Jerry movie, just that it's adults.

As we both head back into my room, we calm ourselves down and continued our game of Monopoly.

Present time

Ariel hopped out of her bed the moment she heard her alarm go off while I just lazed around, hoping to get an extra 5 minutes of sleep before someone goes absolutely nuts.

"WAKE UP LOREN! WAKE UP! IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP! COME ON SLEEPYHEAD!" The door flung open and I jolt up from my bed.

"Ariel, you don't have scream until all the walls that make up this apartment come crashing down. Jeez." I sigh and Ariel drags me out of bed.
