[24] "Happy"

Chapter 24: "Happy"

A/n: again all these will be like little one-shots, it is so that it fits the idea i have in mind.

Harvey's P.O.V:

1 month before present time

Harry Styles came out with his brand new song, Watermelon Sugar. It definitely is a bop and has such a catchy tune to it that it instantly got stuck in my head.

I have been humming it around the house as I do the chores or just simply when I'm relaxing. I always find myself going back to that same tune.

I decided to go to my closet and take out a box I have been putting off opening since it was something really expensive and I didn't want to ruin it.

My aunt gave it to me as a gift for Christmas. Our first Christmas together after our arrival back home. She still remembered that I wanted to be a Youtuber and make videos online.

I used a pen knife and traced the gap between the flaps of the cardboard box. I rip it open and reveal a black cylinder, that came along with a stand.

"Time to put you to good use now buddy, Mr Microphone." I smile as I followed the instructions on how to put it all together, since nothing for me goes right without them.

After installing it, I turned on my laptop and tested the sound. It was perfect.

I prepared my vocals as I set up the recording systems. I was getting nervous but Loren texted me, telling me to relax. I slowly took deep breaths and once my heartbeat wasn't as fast, I gave a shot at it.

"I don't know if I could ever go without..." I smile at the camera, "Watermelon sugar high."

After recording my song, I checked the audio and played it back a few times to make sure it was clear. It was a little weird to hear my own voice, but I had to trust my guts for this. Maybe someone else out there would find it cool.

I got my Youtube account ready. But now for the name of it. I wanted it to be similar to my actual name, but I don't want something way too different. I wouldn't want my username to be Carmen or Conan when my name is Harvey. You sort of get the idea, right?

I played around with the letters in my name and removing some or adding some.

"H. R. V. Y. That sounds pretty sick. No vowels, who needs them anyways. Looks like my actual name, check. Isn't to different either, check. I guess, we can settle on HRVY."

I press enter and my brand new account was created.

"Sweet! Now how do I upload a video?"

An hour after I posted the cover, I gained quite a few subscribers and lots of likes and positive comments. I went to take a look at them and tried my best to reply to every single one of them. But seriously, there were way too many and I don't know how to handle it.

I decided to post on my Instagram stories to thank everyone.

I took a selfie of myself with the caption at the side, "Thank you everyone from the overwhelming support on my very first cover! I will be trying my best to respond to every single one of you! :) "

I couldn't believe what I saw. The numbers were constantly growing, by hundreds in fact every hour.

I was over the moon. And I searched for other songs that fit my voice well and learnt the song by repetition. I was ready to take on more songs now.

After the sun sets and the moon rises, the sky turns from blue to darkness, I toss myself into bed and checked my total views on that video once more before opening up my messages and pressing the call button.
