Chapter 23: Emotions
Harvey's P.O.V:
I've been struggling to find a job to do. I don't know if I really want to pursue what I did in university, which was business. It was something that I initially thought was interesting but it never clicked.
As I unpacked my luggage, I notice a little brown box and nicely held shut by blue ribbons on each side. I analyse the cute packaging and saw my name, written by someone. And without a doubt, I knew it was her.
My heart raced faster as I picked up the box. I didn't know if I should open it. The packaging was just way too cute and I know I will ruin it. I decided to take a few pictures before destroying it.
There was a piece of paper on the top of a few other envelopes. I held it up and read it.
-
"to my dearest one and only pooh bear,
i couldn't decide on what to give you as a farewell gift. i wanted to get you something local here for you to remember, but i know you hate things on your fridge.
so i hope you enjoy trying to read my horrible scribbling. only open it when you are feeling either one of the emotions that i wrote at the front of each envelope. i made sure to cover the bases, so if you are feeling annoyed, there isn't one but its close to angry, just open that one.
i'm sorry if it turned out not what you wanted or expected, i really did try my best to think through what i wanted to give you. i just didn't know what was something that you will find worth keeping. i hope these awfully simple letters will help you keep going throughout your time in UK.
gonna miss you everyday bubs <3
from your little angel,
mrs loren (soon-to-be) cantwell ;)"-
I couldn't help but smile at the last part. She's so full of herself nowadays huh?
I looked through all the envelopes. Happy, excited, angry, sad, scared and tender.
I'm not sure if she knew, but I left her a gift back in America. No, it wasn't my cologne. That was genuinely my forgetfulness. I left her a necklace. But this necklace has something really special about it.
I don't think she found it yet, I'm pretty sure, or she would have been screaming through the phone or something by now. It's suppose to be for a treasure hunt I've planned for her tomorrow afternoon. I know she doesn't have much to do, so I hope this keeps her happy and occupied.
I hope you will like it, my forever.

Next day
Loren's P.O.V:
"Good morning pooh bear!" I smiled as I waved at camera.
"Good morning honey! I saw the box of envelopes you gave me. I don't think I would want to even open any of them. It's just too precious. Even the box was but I sadly had to rip it apart." He smiles back.
"Awww glad you liked it. Oh yes, you had something planned today right? I'm so excited! I might have been overly excited last night and couldn't fall asleep." I confessed.
"Jeez. You probably won't even like what I planned out." He laughs.
"Hey, hey. Excuse me sir. Whatever comes from you will always be amazing regardless, okay?"
"Alright, yes ma'am. Gotcha. Loud and clear."
"Now tell me, what have you been planning?"
"Today is gonna be a little treasure hunt. I'll give you a hint and you will go around the apartment. If you are at the right spot I'll let you know and you get your next clue."
I squealed and bounced around on the bed.
"Let's start!"
-
We went through all the 9 clues and now for the last one. Number 10.
"This last clue is the best one I've came up with. When the clock strikes twelve, the lights go off. The place where cuddles feel cosy. I always turn to you and kiss your head, before it's time to get some rest."
"The bed!" I rush over to the beds and look around the bed frame. Hmm, nope. I look behind the bed. Nope. Under the bed? Nope.
I check under his pillow.
"Hope you like it!"
I picked it up. It was a wooden necklace shaped like a heart.
"It's adorable! Thank you babe."
"Yeah? Don't lose it okay. It's really precious. More than you know."
More than you know? Oh, of course. It's filled with his love, isn't it?
"Yes pooh bear. I really like it." I bring my phone to the bathroom and tried to put on the necklace while looking at my reflection in the mirror.
After it was on, I picked up my phone and gave Harvey a good look of the necklace on me.
"It looks perfect on you. Glad you like it so much."
"I love you."
"I love you too."

Harvey's P.O.V:
It took me quite a while to get this locket for her. I had it custom made because all the available options has sizes that were over-exaggerating and it wasn't something she would want.
Second of all, it wasn't cheap at all. I had to take a lot of time to save up money for it and when I finally had enough to pay for it, I was over the moon. She probably doesn't get why the pendent is so special, but I hope she doesn't lose it either.
All these are gonna lead up to something I want to do when I can finally stay in America for the rest of my life and with her.
I can't wait for that day to come. But for now, I have to be with my parents for a bit as they want me to come home and accompany my grandparents after being gone from here for a long time.
It's gonna be a hard one without you being here physically, it's gonna be something I will find hard to take in but we have to find a way to overcome this together.
Just give me three years, I'll be back, where I really belong, which is being in the same house with you, being your personal chef, being your personal Uber and being right next to you for every second of the rest of my life.
And I will never leave or even plan to leave your side again. Because I will have a extra surprise for you.

A/n: okay so erm this LDR is gonna be hard to write and update schedule is one day off recently since i really can't find time to write some chapters in advance. most of these chapters sadly will be filler chapters but I hope it would act like little one shots :) don't worry, maybe around chapter 28-29 the storyline will be much more connected and completed feeling than this. sorry guys!
