Shuichis pov

It all over now. The only survivors are me, maki and himiko. I was hoping my boyfriend kiibo would also survive but he blew himself up so we could escape. I felt so broken. I've lost so much in this life or death game.

We were about to leave when I felt a rush of dizziness. I was out before I even realised what was happening.

I woke up in a strange pod next to maki and himiko. Everyone who had died beforehand was sitting around us smiling.

"so you sleepyhead are finally awake" kokichi grinned. He was wearing crutches though. Probably a side effect from getting his whole body crushed.

"welcome back sidekicks" kaito said giving us a thumbs up. He was wearing a breathing mask. Another side effect from the illness he had in the game.

Everyone else had similar side effects from whatever way they died and yet they were still smiling. Everyone including...

"kiibo!" I ran up and hugged him tightly with tears streaming down my cheeks "please don't ever scare me like that again!"

"I won't shuichi. I promise" he said kissing my forehead.

I felt so unbelievably happy. Everyone's alive. Everything will be alright now.
