The forceful gale that tears the trees, that is a fairy's rage. The whistling wind that brings the rain, that is a fairy's tears. The joyful draught, dancing through the leaves, that is a fairy's laughter. The gentle breeze that guides the heart, that is the fairy song.

"I beat you!! Now the score's 6/2." Midnight grinned, shaking her head. "I wish I could say I was the six. You're crazy." I smiled at her, as she offered a hand to help me up from where I was pinned to the floor for the second time this afternoon.
"It's probably because of how much I've trained, don't worry." I tried to smile in a somewhat reassuring way, but my adoptive mother just laughed.
"I've been a pro for years honey, and I went to UA. I've had a bunch of training as well- it's most likely due to my amazing parenting." I just shrugged, and dropped back into a fighting stance.
"We still have 2 more matches until we get to ten, maybe you'll manage to get to three." I smirked cheekily as she darted at me, and I dropped to the floor, kicking the legs out from under her.
"Nice try." She laughed as she rolled over, pinning me again.
"Dang it." I pouted, rolling out from under her and getting ready to fight her the last time for this session. "I went easy." She giggled, waving a hand.
"Last battle, can we use quirks?" I inquired, having previously figured out a way to cancel out her quirk last time we fought.
"You want to try out that new trick you discovered? You're quirk is a really bad match up for mine." The older lady laughed, before waving a hand. "Sure!"
"Nice." A devious smile spread across my face as I nodded for her to start. Immediately, she ripped a slight hole in the arm of her suit, and a violet mist surrounded the entire space in gym Gamma. I closed my eyes and concentrated, feeling the air swirling slightly around me. Drawing in a quick breath before it reached me, I began to hum softly. I could sense where Nemuri was, where the walls of the gym were, the roof. I held my hand out as I felt the R-rated hero get closer, envisioning interlocking links in the air around my finger tips. I pushed the air slightly, and felt her stumble back.
I let my eyes fly open, churning the air around me, dispelling the mist and cleansing the air. Now, I just had to keep this up while my legal guardian flew at me.
"HA!" She shouted, as her foot flew towards my face, as I raised a forearm to block it. I spun around, leaping off the floor and using my wind to propel me over her head, somersaulting to make her target smaller. The wind around me picked up, siphoning her mist of even faster. I drew in a breath, still humming, then flew back at her, a mini tornado now formed around me. As soon as I got close, the winds picked her up and tossed her round and round, as I leapt up through the centre and tilted my hips up, shooting my leg out and kicked her across the gym, dropping the tornado and creating a gale that blew her into the wall. I quickly ran over, holding her against the wall.
"I guess I win." I smirked, as I stopped humming.
"Oof." Nemuri grinned at me, and scrambled up. "Why do you always hum when you use your quirk? As far as I know you can use it just fine without it, and singing would make it so much more powerful." I tiled my head at her, moving back to give her space.
"It gives me more control. Surely you know about a fairy's song, right?" She nodded.
"A fairy's song is almost magical. It's beauty is otherworldly." I blinked at her in confirmation.
"If I didn't hum, it would be much more powerful and harder to control. The higher I sing the more powerful it gets. Humming is a kind of leash, so I can keep it under control. And I never really felt the need to sing, I've never had to use that much power before." She looked at me thoughtfully.
