The forceful gale that tears the trees, that is a fairy's rage. The whistling wind that brings the rain, that is a fairy's tears. The joyful draught, dancing through the leaves, that is a fairy's laughter. The gentle breeze that guides the heart, that is the fairy song.
This one's over 2000 words, and has a lot of mother-daughter bonding.

I woke to chopsticks poking my cheek.
"Good morning." I recognised that voice, and blinking my eyes open, I came face-to-leg with a leg. Suddenly, all the events of the previous time I had woken up came rushing back.
"Shoto-" As soon as I opened my mouth to say his name, a chopstick-full of rice was placed in my mouth.
"Eat." He commanded, and I looked up at him with wide eyes. Slowly, I chewed and swallowed, sitting up so I wouldn't choke. He offered more, and I let him feed me rice. I knew exactly what he was doing.
"Hey, Shoto, you don't have to do this." I refused to let the red tint my cheeks, but I could feel the tips of my ears burning.
"I know."
"That why? It's not that I want to lose weight, or anything like that, I just don't feel hungry. You don't have to do this-"
"Y/n, listen to me. You-you've spent your entire life alone. You've been through so much, by yourself no less, and came out alive-"
"Shoto, you've been through a lot too-"
"Let me say this, okay? Just... please." He took a breath, and continued. "I want you to know that no matter how much you handled by yourself, I promise I'll be here. I'm here right now in the present, and I'll be there in the future, right by your side. Just please tell us when you need help. I- We care about you." He finished quietly. I poked his stomach.
"Were you about to say 'I care about you'? So the ice prince does have a heart!" I nudged him playfully and he blushed, looking down at me in a curt sort of way. (Picture at top)
"Seriously though. I promise I'll let you know if I'm struggling." I wrapped my arms around his waist, and he pulled me into his lap. That was becoming something like normal for us now.
I heard a knock at the door.
"Come in?" The door opened, and mother Midnight walked in.
"Oh, hi Nemuri." I waved at her, and Shoto dipped his head, uttering a formal greeting, and I scooted off his lap.
"Sorry, am I interrupting something?" She winked at me, and I rolled my eyes.
"No." I turned to look at Shoto. "Is it okay if we talk alone? I haven't seen Nemuri in ages, as an actual mother daughter thing." I was glad he wasn't hurt as he walked out the door. As I turned back to Nemuri, I could visibly see her face shining.
"Mother daughter, hey? Does that mean you'll call me mum now?" Her smile was infectious, and I reached out to hug her.
"Do I still have to call you Ms Midnight in class?" She sighed.
"Yup."
"Hm. I dunno. Maybe." My smile stayed on my face as she hugged me back, wrapping me in the safe embrace of a mother.
