The forceful gale that tears the trees, that is a fairy's rage. The whistling wind that brings the rain, that is a fairy's tears. The joyful draught, dancing through the leaves, that is a fairy's laughter. The gentle breeze that guides the heart, that is the fairy song.

"Just choose before the end of my nap." Shota Aizawa truly was an interesting homeroom teacher. I really couldn't care less about it. Iida seemed the type who'd be good at organising the class, and he had gone for the democratic option, so I may as well vote for him. After all, the only good thing about it would be getting attention from the pros, and I don't really need that, being the 15-year-old number 6 hero and all. (Sorry Crust, you don't exist anymore)
"Okay! The class rep is Midoriya, with three votes, and the vice rep Yaoyorozu with two." I looked over at Iida, surprised. He only had one vote, and I'm pretty sure I voted for him. He was reasonably smart, surely he knew that the best way to win the class presidency was to vote for yourself? It was most likely he'd voted for Midoriya, as Todoroki also had zeros votes, and he most likely voted for Momo. She was a fellow recommendation student after all, and they might know each other better then he knew Midoriya.
"Good." We started at the sudden voice from the floor, as Aizawa got up, stepping out of his sleeping bag. "Y/n, Midnight has requested your presence in the staff room. If you could kindly make your way over, we have more matters to discuss." I looked up, my gaze boring into his. He stared back, and we had a mini staring contest, me trying to read his mind and him stubbornly refusing to give any ground. The class looked back and forth between us, wondering what the heck was going on.
I sighed, finally breaking eye contact. Eraserhead just had that sort of dominant feeling about him, like if I disobeyed then terrible things would happen. "Fine."
I gathered my stuff, and walked out the door.
POV Third Person
"Hey, Mr Aizawa, what was that about?" Ashido inquired, her hand sticking up in the air, waving around.
"Put your hand down, there's no point in putting it up in the first place if you're just going to call out. And Ms Midnight's business with Y/n is none of your concern. Although, I do have a request. Would one of you be willing to move into U.A dorms?" Half the classes hands shot up, and Aizawa sighed.
"Let me finish explaining. Currently, Y/n is living in them. We have decided it is not exactly safe for a single student to be wandering around unattended, and she might like a friend to keep her company. Please keep in mind this means no longer living with your parents, and think about them too." Midoriya's hand drifted down, before shooting back up again.
"Midoriya?" The teacher turned his sharp gaze on the green-haired boy.
"Wouldn't L/n be perfectly capable of taking care of herself?" Aizawa's eyebrows shot up, slowly, cautiously asking Midoriya a silent question with his eyes, with simultaneously warning him not to talk if he did know. Izuku gulped.
"What gives you that impression, Midoriya?" He muttered, keeping up appearances for the sake of the rest of the class. He got the memo.
"Oh, um, she held her own against three powerful students, that's all. And she seems very capable..." He trailed off at the end, having run out of ideas.
"She might still need a friend." Another hand went up.
"She didn't seem to want friends though." Tsu pointed out the obvious, Momo and Ochaco nodding sadly in agreement.
"I said she might need a friend, not want one." Aizawa looked pointedly at the class. "She's been alone for long enough." He muttered as a slight afterthought. A hand at the back of the classroom raised.
"I would like to volunteer." All heads swivelled to the back of the room, where a certain boy with dual-coloured hair had lowered his hand.
"Are you sure?" Their teacher asked, not sure why the reserved Todoroki would volunteer for this.
"Yes. I have something I want to talk to her about." He paused for a second. "Also, that would mean I don't have to live with my dad." He almost spat the last word, bitter desperation creeping into his voice at the end. Aizawa seemed to take pity on him.
"Okay then. Take this form home, you'll have to get a signature from a parent." Todoroki flinched slightly at that. "Then you can pack your stuff and be ready to move in." He nodded, and the door opened.
Y/n POV
"I'm back. So what did I miss?" I walked back into the room, slumping into my chair.
"Perfect timing. We were just finishing up; you didn't miss anything. It's lunch now, so you guys can go. Class dismissed."
"Woo! Food time!" Kirishima cheered. I groaned, grabbing my things again, standing up and making my way to the door again, replaying my conversation with Nemuri in my head.
"Hey, Y/n! Glad you came. I was afraid Aizawa wouldn't let you out." She laughed, as she let me into the staff room and dragged me over to her desk.
"Yeah. What did you want?" I tilted my head at her.
"Ah yes, straight to the point." She winked. "Well, you and your classmates will be going to the USJ for some rescue training later this week. Because you're already a pro, this is not mandatory. I do recommend you go though." She patted my head, and I hissed at her. Her hand was quickly pulled back.
"Fine. I guess I'll go..." I grumbled, looking diagonally down at my hand that was clasped around the elbow of my right arm.
"Oh, you don't have to, you can always stay here with me, or go do some side hero work?"
"No, I'll go. I do want to do hero work, but I might learn something." Nemuri smiled at me, and pulled me into a hug.
"Sounds like you're warming up to U.A. But I think you want to go so you can be with your classmates."
"Tch. As if." But I still found myself returning her hug. It felt so nice to just be hugged, held in my adoptive mother's arms. I could pretend I was still happy, that when I pulled away Elaine would be there, jumping for a hug of her own, King shaking his head affectionately in the background. She pulled away.
"You might want to get back to class now." She brushed a kiss to the top of my forehead, lightly pushing me towards the door. "And I have to go teach."
"Okay. Want to spar this afternoon?"
"Always."
Did I really have friends? I mean, Todoroki, Ochaco, Tsu, and the rest of the girls said the words that would normally start a friendship, but it had been so long since I had real friends I didn't know what friendship felt like. I walked past the cafeteria outside. I didn't really feel like eating, so I went and sat down on the grass outside the building. It was so peaceful, but I couldn't ignore the chasm of sadness and longing that had revealed itself.
