Chapter18- Fate had otherwise.

18.

   Alex stood up. I closed my eyes. Why me? Why am I so down on luck? I could hear Alex walk to Jack. Oh god. When will this ever end? I just wanna get away from drama. I wanna get away from these guys and go home.  Why can't I just let go of Alex? I respect people relationships there's so many other fish in the sea. But why did I mess with the one that's already been caught? I don't like cheating at all. Cheating is not an accident. An accident is when you fall off your bike, not when you accidentally fall into someone's heart. I am my most hated person in the world. I kept my eyes closed till someone woke me up, and told me I was having a bad dream again. That I was never really kidnapped. That Alex never existed or Jack, Daemon, Todd, and Natalia. But sometimes you have to wake up from your own bad dream, and that's what I exactly had to do. I stood up and opened my eyes. I looked around. It was dark. I didn't see Alex or Jack. I walked around in the house. I went up stairs and looked in all the bed rooms. They were no where to be found.

"Alex?"

   No response.

"Jack?"

  I went out side, I looked in the back and front of the house. I looked for signs of anything, that meant a sign of life from these two guys. I went back in, I wasn't scared or anything. I was pretty settled in and calm. All I could do is hope for the best to come out of this. I went up stairs and layed in bed. I watched a local new channel till I went to sleep.

   I woke up with a car horn beeping. I ran down the stairs and sprinted outside. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Alex and Jack. They were in Alex's car. I went to the drivers side. Jack rolled down his window.

"G-Morn."

"Uh...Hi."

"How was the night alone in the house?"

"Good... where were you two. I looked all over."

"We went to a bar and talked about somethings."

"Like what?"

"Well mostly about last night. I had know idea that I fainted. Alex here told me that he put a drug in me to help me breath."

"Oh." 

   My heart dropped a little, I was hoping that he told Jack that I love Alex and the he loves me, hopefully. I looked at Alex who was sitting in the passenger seat fiddling with his fingers. I gave a quick smile and went back into the house. Jack and Alex followed behind me. I went up to the bedroom and sat on the bed, I could hear Jack and Alex laugh. I was tired. I was depressed. Then I heard foot steps coming up the stairs. It was Alex.

"Hey beautiful."

"Hi."

"Why so down?"

"I don't want to be here. I think I am going home."

"With me?"

"No, to my family. To my friends, and every one I missed."

"But you can't and you know that. You're not gonna run away, and I know that."

"Try me."

   Alex was leaning against the doorway. I got up and bumped into his shoulder to get out. I walked passed him. I went down stairs. Jack started to talk to me, I ignored him and walked out the door. I felt like a zombie. I walked out straight out of the house with out saying a thing. I walked out with out giving a care in the world. I walked down the road. I heard Alex screaming out my name. I kept walking.

"Jenna! Wait!"

   This fool was running after me. I walked with out shoes. All I had on was some pajamas and an over-sized shirt. It was very cold out. So I wrapped my arms around my waist. I could hear Alex huffing and puffing. He finally reached me. He grabbed my arm, I yanked back.

"Jenna, you can't do this. Rationalize with me, please lets go back."

"What! To Jack's house! Don't you want me with you!"

"Well-um yeah."

"You know, what if you said all that you meant last night? then prove it. Take me away from here! Why are you so scared of Jack?!"

"Do you really want this?"

"Are you fucking kidding me." I stopped and gave him a serious look.

   He stopped, as I continued to walk. I walked an walked it must have been over 20 miles. People honked at me and pulled over and asked if I needed a ride. I turned them all down. I told that I am strong an I am going to prove something. I walked down the Columbia River. It was very beautiful, if only I had my camera. It started to get a little dark and colder. It must have been around 5 or 6 pm. My feet was starting to ache. I sat down on the side of the road. I picked at my toe nails.I kept my head down so no one would notice me or kidnapped me again. I rested for 30 minutes and started to walk again. I started to miss Alex. I wanted him to save me. I wanted him to take me away. But then he's married and he invites me to go back to Jack's place. I mean like wouldn't this guy have a grudge for Jack being with me. It's like he didn't even mind that I was with Jack.

   It started to freeze. I found a little calvert. I went into the calvert hoping not to find Jeepers Creepers or something. I sat at the edge. Vehicle lights passed by and by. I decided I will wait in the culvert till morning then I will get walking again. But my fate had otherwise.
