The birds were chirping and I could see the sun in the sky awakening. I sat up and rubbed my eyes as I heard children running around and laughing. Hearing all this, I left my bed and changed into the spare clothes that Aella gave me. This time they didn't have any silly pattern on it. Thank goodness. I went into the kitchen and made myself some coffee. I sat down at the small table and sighed. I made myself a peanut butter sandwich like mom used to make me in the morning, I began to miss her. Suddenly, I heard a knock at that door. I flinched and spilled all my coffee all over my shirt. I tried to wipe it out but it just made the stain bigger. I looked through the peephole to see who it was. AH! Aella! I thought as I quickly fixed my hair and went to change my stained shirt. She knocked again. "I'll be there in a second!" I yelled as I rapidly shuffled through my shirts to find a nice one. "I'm just gonna come in, we have a big day planned." Aella yelled back. NO NO NO! She can't see me like this! I panicked. I threw on a shirt and slipped it on. Aella walked through the bedroom door. "Hey..." I said, trying to extend the "hey" to seem cool. Aella raised her eyebrow and smiled.

"First, we have to get you ready because you can't go out looking like that." She said. Aella sat me down and started fixing my hair in front of the dresser. "Ow!" I shouted as she brushed my hair. "Hey, no moving. If you keep moving then I will accidentally hurt you." She mentioned. I rolled my eyes. Aella began to remind me of my mother. Welcoming, kind and very assertive. "Now put this on." Aella said as she handed me a light blue jean jacket, After putting it on. Aella smiled then said "And voila! You look so hands- I mean nice." Aella stammered. I stared at my face in the mirror. It was like picture day all over again. I didn't like it when my mother would dress me up for picture days in school.

When I was all ready for the big day, Aella walked towards the doorway and declared, "Visitors First!" She said in a formal voice as she opened the door in a royal manner. I pulled myself together and we were outside, seeing villagers dancing and getting ready for the welcoming celebration.

"Kace! The villagers were thrilled when they knew a human was going to come to the village! Even to save the queen!" A woman said, she had brown hair and a beautiful smile taped to her face. She seemed joyful and exhilarated. She was holding a basket full of food I have never heard of or seen before. She opened the basket's lid and gave me a small snack that looked like bread. I bit it and I looked surprised by the unimaginable taste of the bread. The woman chuckled and notified me saying. "There will be a lot of great meals, this is only the beginning!" Then we walked to the party. There were foods and colourful banners with a sign saying "Welcome to Armani!" in golden fancy writing. People were dancing and singing and I saw children laughing and playing. There was music playing and people chatting. Everyone was so joyful all because I was here.. to save the queen. "Kace! I made you something!" a little child handed me a drawing they made. It had me and Aella holding hands. "You and Princess Aella! You both are together right?" the kid asked innocently. I choked on my snack. Aella laughed and answered, "Haha, no we're just friends." The kid looked down at her shoes. "Well, you would make a great couple!" the kid said gleefully and walked away to play with the other children. Aella and I bursted into laughter. "Imagine if we were actually together." Aella giggled. I thought about it for a moment. What if we were together? I shut that thought out of my mind. No, we're just friends. I will eventually leave Armani after I save her mother. Aella pulled my arm and everyone began dancing to the music. "I don't know how to dance.." I said awkwardly. The Armanians were doing unique movements that I have never seen in my life. Two people were linked arms and had a bowl like hats on their heads as they made small jumps while putting one foot in front of the other repeatedly and after 4 times they spinned around and clapped their hands to the music. "That's okay! I'm not very good at dancing either." Aella yelled over the music as she clapped her hands together to the beat of the music. Three villagers grabbed us and said, "What are you doing just standing there? COME AND DANCE WITH US!" They exclaimed. Aella shrugged her shoulders and ran along with them to dance. She put one of those bowl hats on and started dancing. The dance looked extremely hard but she did it gracefully. Her dress was swaying as she danced. She must have gotten it from royalty while I had no idea of what I was doing.

The villagers began to notice me and they went slower until I understood the dance. One of the villagers gave me a hat and gestured his hand to come and dance with them. "Come on Kace!" Aella exclaimed. The villagers around clapped and chanted my name. I smiled and linked arms with Aella. The crowd cheered as I danced. I messed up a few times but thankfully nobody noticed. Everyone was just having a wonderful time. I felt so happy and free. I didn't feel like I had to prove anything to anyone. It seemed as if there were no problems in the world. The music switched to a slower song. The couples paired up and started waltzing to the song. Everyone had a partner to dance with, except me and Aella. Aella reached out and her hand as I said "I don't know how to dance" As soon as I took her hand we began dancing. I laughed as I messed up on most of the steps. Aella just smiled and guided me through the dance floor as I slowly processed the dance steps. "Spin me." Aella said. I was worried I would make a mistake and then drop her. I hesitated and started spinning. The villagers cheered. Aella looked proud and clapped along. "I never knew you were such an amazing dancer." She mentioned. My cheeks turned red as I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Well only because I have a great partner." Aella laughed and curled the tips of her hair. " Now a word from King Elias." The royal advisor announced. Everyone clapped as King Elias walked on stage. "I'd like to thank my daughter for organizing this event in honor of our visitor, Kace, a true hero to Armani. We very much appreciate your visit Kace. We thank you for your bravery, and for your courage.. " King Elias made a small bow as he rolled up his scroll, as everyone clapped and cheered my name. Aella clapped and cheered my name too. My heart was filled with pride. I felt so proud of myself. No one has ever made me feel like this. Not even my graduation, not even my own mother... If only she could see me now. Night came and everyone was getting ready to go home. I said goodbye to everyone and thanked them for coming. When everyone was gone, I noticed Aella staring at the starry sky. "Thanks for throwing me this party.." I whispered. Aella smiled. "No, thank you for having the courage to save the queen. My mother." She beamed. Aella looked at me and brushed her lips against my cheek. "I had a great time." She said and flew back to the palace. I stood there in shock. My heart fluttered with emotions. As I laid in bed that night I couldn't stop thinking about the party.. but most importantly, her.
