Loki Laufeyson - The Cops

How you ended up giving the God of Mischief and Lies a guided tour of the city he tried to destroy a few years previously was beyond you. All you remembered was Natasha pushing you two out the door with a smirk and saying something about behaving and being back by 10pm.

She knew you had a crush on Loki and this was most likely her way of telling you to make a move sooner rather than later.

You see, you'd had a crush on Loki since the moment you saw him. Your first thoughts were quite literally 'Hot diggidy damn I'm in love.' Well, okay. You might not have been in love per say, but you definitely had a thing for his stunning blue-green eyes and sleek raven hair. You loved his attitude too.

"(Y/n)? You look like someone just killed your pet." Loki stated from beside you with an emotionless expression.

You came crashing back to reality and shook your head to clear your mind. "What? Sorry, I'm just... Thinking. Anyway. Um, this is the cloisters. It's like a group of reconstructed chapels and halls from medieval French monasteries and abbeys. Pretty cool depending on what you like. I personally love it because history has always been my thing so, yeah, you know."

"You're distracted." Said Loki casually as he leant against the wall and crossed his arms.

"I'm what?"

"Point proven." He stood up straight again and looked around. "Ever since Romanoff banished us from that awful tower you have been absently staring at whatever crosses your path. It's honestly concerning. You should see someone about it."

"Hey!" You defend, fully focused now. "You're the same, L'Oréal. I've seen you in the library scowling at everyone who comes in and out."

"That may be true but you do the same."

You froze, realising he wasn't exactly wrong on that point. "This isn't about me."

"Are you sure about that? I recall this conversation is taking place because you are the distant one today."

"You are so lucky you're sexy or I'd smack you." You muttered.

However, Loki heard every word that left your lips and couldn't help smirking as he leant down so he was inches away from your face.

"Fancy me, do you?" He asked in a cocky whisper. "I don't blame you."

You scoffed and were about to retort when a woman and a young girl walked over. Loki quickly stepped away from them and watched as you looked at the woman curiously.

"Can I help you?" You asked.

"Hi." The woman greeted in a chirpy voice. "I couldn't help wandering but are you (y/n) from the Avengers?"

You narrowed your eyes. "Are you a cop?"

The woman seemed a little taken aback but shook her head. "No?"

You smiled and nodded. "Then, yeah, I'm (y/n) from the Avengers. What's up?"

"Well, my daughter really wants you to sign her notebook."

You looked at the little girl holding her mother's hand and smiled kindly as she held out a small pink book and an equally pink pen. You accepted the items and opened the first page.

"What's your name, kiddo?" You asked.

"Cynthia." She grinned brightly.

Dear Cynthia,
Now you can show all your classmates how cool you are.

You handed her notebook back and she jumped up and down before noticing Loki who had tried to hide in the shadows. She looked up at her mother who was watching the god cautiously before skipping over to him and holding out her book and pen.

"Can you sign it too, Mr. Loki?"

Her mother let out a silent gasp and Loki looked to you, unsure of what to say. You just smiled and nodded.

"As you wish, tiny mortal." He eventually agreed, signing his name below yours and handing the book back.

The little girl giggled and hugged Loki around the middle before she walked back to her mother who quickly dragged her away. When they were gone, you looked at Loki with a smirk.

"That was adorable, Mr. Loki."

He rolled his eyes and pouted grumpily. "Never speak of it."

You shrugged as an answer before walking off, pretending you didn't notice how Loki secretly smiled to himself.
