Your POV-

As you made your way through the village, you kept your eye out for that miss matched haori that you had noticed earlier. Your eyes scanned your surroundings when you caught a peak of it, blowing in the soft wind, between an alleyway. You were pretty far away, and you tried not to stare, but as you walked by, you took another look at him.

He was standing, propped up against the wall, his arms to his side. You walked quickly, trying to not be noticeable, but your attempt was unsuccessful. He redirected his gaze to you. His piercing blue eyes met yours. He had steely, stern look on his face as you two made eye contact. Quickly, you looked away, not wanting to seem suspicious.

You kept walking, till you found a forest-y area and made your way in through the trees. You needed to meditate, you needed to breathe and clear your head. Something about him made you feel different than ever before. "I wonder what he's doing here?" you thought to yourself.

"I haven't seen any other demon slayer uniforms in the area." Most of the time, you'll see a couple of lower ranking slayers grouped together. "Had they called us in for backup? He definitely looks high ranking." Your head jumbled with thoughts. You were ranked a Tsuchinoe, and you had trained tirelessly to become one, yet you were worried that this demon just might defeat you.

You sat down on the cool dirt and took deep breaths. You needed to calm down. As you relaxed, time started to slip away. You went into a trance of calmness, and you thought of a strategy. "I'll walk around the village tonight, looking for any little boys that might be playing outside past curfew," you strategized. "Maybe I'll find the demon that way."

You wanted to find that demon tonight. It was killing you that so many little boys were going missing, breaking the hearts of multiple families. You concentrated on your plan, and you were ready.

As it got darker, you hung out around the cafe where the owner had spoke to you. You got a bite to eat and you began writing a letter to your family, just so that you would have a head start. You always told them about your missions, so you were going to continue writing once you had taken care of this demon. Finally, the shop closed and you walked outside, and waited to see if you saw anything suspicious.

A couple of hours passed, and you couldn't shake the feeling that you were being followed. While you were walking down one of the small neighborhoods, you saw a little boy with a stick in his hand, drawing in the dirt. Your body tensed. You wanted so bad to push that little boy inside his house, so that he would hopefully be safe. As your mind raced, out of a nowhere a little wooden toy car rolled in front of the little boy.

Your our mind flashed back to the clerk, whose grandson had vanished days earlier. He explained that they had found a similar toy on their porch the night he went missing. The little boy perked up, and went to go grab the toy. The second the toy touched his hand, he disappeared. You gasped, not believing your eyes. The only way you could save this boy, is if you went exactly where he went, and the only way to do that, was to touch the toy too.

You sprinted to the toy and grabbed it, not thinking twice and instantly you found yourself in the woods, with no toy in your hand. For a split second, it felt like you were being torn in a million different directions. It was a feeling you never felt before. Shaking that feeling away, You crept around, looking for anything out of the ordinary.

Soon you picked up on the oh-so familiar smell of demons. You quietly listened, and you started to hear little whimpers. You followed the noise and you saw the little boy wandering by himself, obviously scared. "Come here, sweetheart!" a voice sang in the distance. His eyes perked up as he began to follow the voice. "I'll help you find your home!" it said again. It was a female voice, you silently followed behind the boy.
