Your POV

You were so angry at Giyuu for lashing out on you like that. You laid in your bed, your eyes burning with tears, wondering what to do. He was not someone you wanted to talk to right now, so you decided to go see Shinobu and Mitsuri because you didn't want to be alone.

For once, Shinobu was not working when you got to her estate. You had sent your crow to notify Mitsuri to meet you at the butterfly mansion if she wasn't busy. Your face was red and the tears just wouldn't stop

When you walked in to her office, immediately her smile disappeared. "Oh sweetie," she said disappointed. "what happened?" You didn't say anything, you just walked over to her and hugged her, crying into her shoulder. She rubbed your back and told you to calm down.

You heard the door open and Mitsuri came running in, hugging the both of you. "I'll make Tomioka pay for this." Mitsuri said.

You shook your head no, and composed yourself to try to get some audible words out. "I just don't understand him. He had no reason to be so upset with me."

You told them everything about the mission and the conversation you both had during training.

"I told you this could happen, (Y/N). I'm so sorry." Shinobu said rubbing your arm for comfort. "I know, I just let my emotions get the best of me." you responded, still upset.

"It sounds like he's angry at himself." Mitsuri began, "He took out his frustrations on you. I hope this is something you two can get through, right?"

"I hope so." It didn't seem right anymore. " I know I heard the demon say something about his feelings for me and not being able to tell me about his feelings..."

You were interrupted by the familiar sound of a crow. "SHINOBU KOCHO AND GIYUU TOMIOKA THE MASTER NEEDS TO SEE YOU! CAW! THE MASTER NEEDS TO SEE YOU!

"Well, I guess I'll go beat him up for you." Shinobu said with a giggle. It made you laugh too. "Go easy on him." you giggled back. "Actually no, Shinobu, please don't say anything to him. Eventually, I will talk to him myself." She nodded and made her way out of her office.

Mitsuri once again hugged you, trying to make you feel better.

You decided to stay with her in her house while Shinobu and Giyuu went on an important mission to Mount Natagumo. Apparently, another 12 Kizuki was spotted there.

Mitsuri didn't know much about Giyuu, and you wondered which of the Hashira even would. You recalled Kyo talking about how they seemed to go on missions a lot, and you were hoping maybe he had some information that could help explain why Giyuu acted the way he did the other day.

You found him training with his tsuguko outside his estate. "Hey Kyo!" you said smiling at him! "(Y/N)!" he said back, excited to see you. Rengoku was probably your favorite male Hashira besides Giyuu. He was happy, fun to be around, and always made you laugh.

"If you get a chance, I have to talk to you. I need some advice." you told him, looking down at your feet.

"What did Tomioka do this time?" your face turned red, out of embarrassment and anger. "Go take a break!" he said to his trainee. "Meet me back here in an hour!" the young boy went on his way and Kyo and I sat down in the grass.

"What's going on?" he asked sympathetically.

"Do you know anything about Tomioka? Like his past? His family? Ex-girlfriends? Rengoku laughed "Giyuu Tomioka: quite a mystery, is he not?" "Tell me about it." you said frustrated. "He won't tell me anything and its killing me not to be able to somehow relate to him. It feels like I'm always on eggshells. I want the feelings I have for him to grow, but it's getting hard. I feel like I'm getting no where."

Rengoku looked at you with kind eyes, listening to every word you said. "I'm sure eventually he would've told you this, but let me help him out here. I don't know much about his parents. I really don't think demons were to blame for them, but I know his sister was killed by one." "Oh my goodness." you said in shock "They were really close, and I think she died protecting him." Your heart hurt for him. "See," you began "He hasn't told me any of that."

"I mean is it easy telling people those details? I know I would be reserved with those things. I believe he should've told you sooner, but knowing him, I'm not surprised you still don't know." Rengoku explained. He was right, maybe begging for information made him less and less likely to talk about his past and feelings. You felt the anger starting to leave you, it was being replaced with guilt.

"I know more, but I think he needs to tell you." Rengoku said. I nodded at him and gave him a smile. I set my head lightly on his shoulder and I felt his arm come around me and it gave me a gentle squeeze. "Thank you for helping me out and telling me that, Kyo. You really made me feel better." "Any time (Y/N)! I want you and Tomioka to be happy. Uzui was telling the truth when he said he could tell a difference in Tomioka's demeanor."

This was the first time you actually felt calm since the fight went down a couple of days ago. Kyo stood up and proceeded to help you up as well. "Let me know if you talk to him!!" You know we love knowing the details." Rengoku said, messing with you. "Ha, I'm aware. Ive never seem such a big group of gossip-y men." you joked back. "Hey, don't hate the players!"

"Thanks again, Kyo!" You said as you waved goodbye and walked away from the flame mansion. Overhead, it looked like Kyo's crow was flying over to tell him something. A couple of the hashira were walking over to where the have meetings sometimes. There was a kid knocked out on the ground. Your eyes scanned for Giyuu when you finally saw him, standing off to the side, away from the others. You were glad he was okay. You saw Kyo walking over there as well too.

You figured it was a Hashira meeting, and you had no business being there. While they dealt with that, you figured it was a good time to get your things from Mitsuri's estate, and bring them back to the Water mansion. You planned on waiting till Giyuu got back so that you could talk to him. You wanted to apologize, and explain that you were there for him to lean on.

You got to your room and took some time to think about everything you wanted to say to him.

A couple of hours passed and you hadn't heard Giyuu walk in. You decided to go look for him. He had a clear pond behind his house that he normally went to to relax, so you peaked back there to see if that's where he was. Sure enough, that's where you found him. He was inside the pond this time, which was a first. You could see he was deep in thought. Most of the time he was expressionless, but today, he looked sad.

All you could see of his body were the tops of his shoulders peaking out over the water. You had never seen Giyuu with his clothes off, you had only ever imagined it. You could tell they were muscular and for a minute, you forgot what you were even there for. You took a deep breath, and walked over to him.

"Hey Giyuu." You said quietly.

He turned to look at you, "Hey (Y/N)."
